A BIG NAME IN AWGU POLITICS: HON. MRS. JANE ENEH (AGUDO NWANYI), CHIEF WHIP ENHA
In Nigerian politics, much encomium/praise-singing are always been showered on some leaders who are less performing thus leaving the great achievers behind because they do not blow trumpet about their records. This can be attributed to the proverbial adage that says "Empty drums make the most noise". But this is not the case with Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh's political giant strides, as her exemplary style of politics needs to be emulated by all political office holders.
Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, a member representing Awgu North in the Enugu State house of Assembly, is an erudite scholar, an achiever, a mother for all, a philanthropist, an intelligentsia, a diplomat cum political heavy weight, a selfless leader and a big name in Awgu politics. Looking into retrospect, her records on COVID-19 virus pandemic sensitization tour and sharing of palliatives to contain the spread of the pandemic still remains a memorable act of benevolence that could never be forgotten so easily by the beneficiaries in generations to come. From all the pictures flying across the social media on palliative material distributions across various constituencies by political office holders, that of Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh's gifts to her constituents shook the atmosphere. The indigents were her key focus and those less-privileged ones, who had no hope of anyone remembering them in this trying time were seen with bags of rice, cartons of noodles and tubers of yam smiling and jubilating with joy, thanking and praying for their representative; Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, over her motherly care and philanthropies.
That's what we call "A big name in Politics", with less noise-making. A big name in politics is measured by a political leader's positive impact to the lives of her subjects and not by the position the leader occupies. Hence, Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh took that bravery step and made a big name on marble stones and in the sands of time by virtue of her magnificent gifts to her constituents, irrespective of her been only few months in office then. That's capacity and a grass root illustration.
