Breaking: Peace Corps honoured Chief Whip ENHA with a Merit Award of Honour.



  PEACE CORPS HONOURED CHIEF WHIP ENHA WITH A MERIT AWARD OF HONOUR

 

...LAUD THE LEGISLATOR FOR HER NUMEROUS SUCCESS STORY.

 

Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh (Agudo Nwanyi), Member representing Awgu North constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly today added another feather to her cap as Peace Corps of Nigeria, Enugu State command honoured her with a Merit award of honour based on her numerous achievements in and outside her constituency.

 Peace Corps of Nigeria pan Nigeria joined the rest of the global world in commemorating the International Day of Peace with a theme "Shaping Peace Together", today 21st September 2020 @Fontana Hotel, Independence layout, Enugu.

In a keynote address presented by the State Commandant of the Corps, Pat. Okoye Maxwell, Peace Corps is a uniform youth organisation which is on course with a core mandate to train, educate and re-orientate the youths in peace and conflict resolutions, thereby making them more patriotic citizens to their fatherland. Speaking further, the commandant said commemoration of the International Day of Peace is an annual event as encapsulated in the United Nations' charter for a day of celebration through education or public awareness campaign to dialogue/interact on issues bothering on peace, violence and cease-fire all around the world.

While appreciating the officers of the Corps after receiving the award, Com. Okolike Michael, SSA on Media & Publicity to the Chief Whip who aptly represented the Chief Whip at the occasion thanked the organisers of the program for finding Agudo Nwanyi worthy to be awarded with such a prestigious award and assured them that the Chief Whip will continue to do her best to the youth constituency as her capacity can carry. Com. Okolike Michael also urged the officers of the command to continue with their good works in the state as posterity will remember them for it someday. Com. Okolike Michael ended his speech by showering encomium on Gov. Ugwuanyi for the opportunity given to the Chief Whip to serve in the capacity of a legislator representing Awgu North constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, and asked all to keep supporting the Governor for more peace-oriented results in the state as records has shown that his peace legacies on a sustainable security development is superfluous.


Chief Whip is a super woman, an icon whose giant political strides has gone viral to necessitate people recognising her personality every where. However, Agudo Nwanyi in her usual philanthropic nature supported the organisation financially to aide their operational activities in the state, which the organisation appreciated and thanked her for her kind heart of benevolence.

 Long live Enugu State!!
