CHIEF WHIP ENHA CONDOLE WITH THE FAMILIES OF THE GHASTLY AUTO CRASH IN AWGU, WEEPS FOR THE PUPILS INVOLVED.

In what seemed like a rumour yet of a truth, a tragedic scene was recorded in Awgu town of Awgu Local Government area in Enugu State yesterday Wed, 28th October, 2020 when a certain truck crashed on a school bus carrying pupils killing no fewer than 5 people, injuring others, Jane-carestv reports. 

This dastardly fatal accident occurred at the popular Nkwo junction in Awgu Local Government area between the hours of 4pm-5pm as pupils were been conveyed back home after their dismissal from school. 

As learnt by Jane-carestv, the truck involved in this ghastly accident had a break failure while en route from Awgu-Mmaku hill and couldn't control the velocity of the vehicle any longer while descending the hill thereby resulting into a head collision with a school bus carrying a Nursery & Primary school pupils. 

An eye witness, one Emeka Okeke-Uzor confirmed to the media crew team of Jane-carestv that a few number of people lost their lives in the incidence, including a Mechanic, a motorcyclist and a Vulcanizer at that junction, alongside with some school pupils, leaving others injured. 

It was also learnt that those who sustained severe injuries had already been taken to Jideofor hospital in Awgu and also University of Nigeria teaching hospital, UNTH where they are currently receiving treatments. 

The total number of the dead bodies and their names are yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, as the Police division in Awgu is yet to issue an official statement with regards to that report. 

Chief Whip ENHA expressed pains over this ugly incidence and pleads with the victim's families to take heart as the incidence was very very regrettable especially in this moment that the State is still gradually recovering from the comatose of the post #ENDSARS protest. 

We pray this kind of sad news do not befall us again as a Local Government and as a State as we have experienced enough in this recent time,  Chief Whip said.
