CHIEF WHIP ENHA WISHES THE MUSLIM FAITHFUL A HAPPY EID-EL-MAULUD CELEBRATION, ENJOINED ALL TO ABHOR VIOLENCE AND EMBRACE PEACE IN THE STATE

As a observed, the Federal Government of Nigeria declared today Thursday, October 29, a Public Holiday across Nigeria to mark EID-EL-MAULUD, an Islamic festival otherwise known as the birthday of Prophet Mohammed. This was disclosed in a statement by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on his Facebook page in a declaration on behalf of the Federal Government.

The Minister who congratulated the Muslim faithful at home and abroad for witnessing this year's occasion also enjoined them to imbibe the spirit of love, patience and perseverance which are the virtues of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him), the statement read in part. 

The Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, Member representing Awgu North Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly in a press release to commemorate the event enjoined all the constituents to always exhibit good virtues that would guarantee peace and security in the Constituency and the State in particular, stressing that it's only in a peaceful environment that progress strives. 

Chief Whip also used the opportunity to admonish the youths to abhor violence, lawlessness and other acts or misconducts capable of jeopardising the peaceful coexistence that ndi Enugu had hitherto enjoyed in the state. 

While calling for a stop to all agitations in the state, the Chief Whip urged all to embrace peace and join efforts to support Gov. Ugwuanyi's administration to build a virile "Home State" which Ndi Enugu can be proud of, as our dear Enugu State belongs to all of us. 

Chief Whip in her concluding statement wishes all the Muslim faithful all over the state a happy celebration today.
