INT'L DAY OF EDUCATION: CHIEF WHIP MESSAGE TO CONSTITUENTS
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF EDUCATION... MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF WHIP ENHA, HON. MRS JANE ENEH
According to the message of the United Nations Secretary-General; António Guterres today, Education transforms lives. Malala Yousafzai, a United Nations Messenger of peace once said that; "One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world". And Nelson Mandela rightly nailed it all by saying that "Education is the most powerful weapon through which one can change the world".
Hence, as the global world marks the International Day of Education today Jan. 24, CHIEF WHIP ENHA, HON. MRS JANE ENEH, Member representing Awgu North constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly calls on all to be key players in advancing sustainable development in the Educational sector, especially for the millions of out of school children, adolescents and youths to also enable them enjoy a better and equitable quality Education. She made this call while speaking with the media team of JANE-CARESTV after a supervisory tour exercise of the school building/renovation project work ongoing across the constituency by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (GBURUS).
Chief Whip enjoined all to prioritize Education for public good; support it with co-operation, partnership and funding and recognize that leaving no one behind starts with Education.
In the pursuit of the "CONSTITUENCY VISION 2021 GOAL" in the Educational sector, JANE CARES ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM is set to address to a great extent the lack of a formal education opportunity missed by some constituents, with a view to target-raising upto 5,000+ learners above the illiteracy level before the end of the year. This, the program is poised to achieve with everyone's support..Chief Whip added.
