UPDATED: NO VACANCY IN LION BUILDING 2027: ENUGU WOMEN IN POLITICS, EXCOS, JANE ENEH & RITA MBAH RALLY SUPPORT FOR GOV. PETER MBAH’S GIANT STRIDES, CALL FOR CONTINUITY IN 2027

In a resounding show of unity and political awareness, Enugu Women in Politics—a coalition of women leaders and groups across the 17 local government areas of Enugu State—have declared their unwavering support for the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the executive governor of Enugu State, citing his remarkable achievements across all sectors of the economy as the solid foundation for their call for his continuity come 2027.

The call for sustained leadership came during the Enugu Women Monthly Prayer Network held at Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, where thousands of women converged in prayer for the peace and progress of the state. The moment was strategically propagated by the leadership of Enugu Women in Politics, with Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and member representing Awgu North Constituency, and Dame Rita Mbah, as pioneer leaders of the women’s political movement, to sensitize attendees on Governor Mbah’s transformational strides and the importance of continuity in governance.

According to the duo, who have been at the forefront of mobilizing female voices in the state, Governor Mbah’s administration has redefined governance through disruptive innovation and people-oriented projects, including:

✓ Flag-off of construction for 141 urban roads in the state.

✓ Smart school projects and Type-2 Primary Healthcare facilities across the 260 wards.

✓ Construction of modern bus terminals and procurement of over 200 CNG buses for ease of transportation.

✓ Tech-driven empowerment programs for youths and women in the state.

✓ Agricultural transformation through farm estates across the 260 wards and tractor procurement in revolutionizing agriculture.

✓ Digitization of government ministries and agencies in the state for improved efficiency and productivity.

✓ Revitalization of sports, culture, and tourism sectors in the state.

✓ Revamping of moribund assets through modern infrastructure projects.

✓ Procurement and deployment of security vehicles and CCTV cameras for safety and surveillance in the state.

✓ Upgrading aviation operations with the Enugu Air aircraft initiative.

These achievements and many more, they noted, are concrete indicators that “Tomorrow is Here” under the Peter Mbah-led administration, which deserves every ounce of continued support.

In a show of solidarity, the Executive Members of Enugu State Women in Politics were also present at the Okpara Square event alongside Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh and Dame Rita Mbah. The Excos, representing the leadership core of the movement, lent their collective voice to the growing support for Governor Peter Mbah’s visionary leadership. In their brief remarks, they commended the governor’s transformative governance and reaffirmed their commitment to mobilizing women across all political wards in Enugu State in favor of continuity come 2027.

“There is no vacancy in Enugu Lion Building come 2027,” the women declared in one voice, emphasizing that Gov. Mbah success story must be sustained for a more prosperous Enugu State.

Enugu Women in Politics reaffirmed their commitment to driving this message of support and continuity from the grassroots to the urban city, ensuring that every woman becomes an ambassador of progressive governance under Dr. Peter Mbah.

With our prayers and unified support, the Enugu State of our dreams is no longer a mere vision—it is our living reality under Governor Mbah.

"Enugu women support for Peter Mbah 2027 is the code."
