Mrs. Jane Eneh, on Thursday, January 30, 2025, received a delegation from Dorcas Women Foundation on a courtesy visit to her office at the Enugu State House of Assembly Complex, Independence Layout, Enugu.

The delegation, led by the foundation’s president and founder, Mrs. Adaora Anieke, comprised key executive members of the organization. The Dorcas Women Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting widows and the less privileged across the state, expressed deep admiration for the Deputy Leader’s dedication to governance with a human face. The foundation’s leadership affirmed that her unwavering support for grassroots development and social welfare programs made her the perfect choice for the matronship of their organization.

In her response, Rt. Hon. Jane Eneh warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude for the recognition. She reaffirmed her commitment to an inclusive representation that transcends constituency lines, emphasizing her open-door policy in governance. While acknowledging the additional responsibility of being the foundation’s matron, she humorously remarked that it was another weight added to her already demanding schedules and activities within and outside her constituency. However, she embraced the responsibility wholeheartedly, calling for their continued support and prayers to enable her to keep making meaningful impacts in society.

With a deep sense of purpose, Mrs. Eneh reiterated her divine calling to serve humanity, stating that her position as a lawmaker goes beyond legislative duties—it is a calling to touch lives positively and impact humanity. In a lighthearted yet profound moment, she explained her desire to continue bringing joy to women, children, widows, and the less privileged through acts of kindness and social intervention. She emphasized that happiness must be made accessible to all and reaffirmed her commitment to spreading smiles, fostering hope, and igniting positive change in people’s lives.

Her passionate remarks resonated with the delegation, eliciting laughter and applause as she described how a simple act of kindness can create a ripple effect of joy throughout communities. She assured the foundation of her unwavering support for initiatives that align with her vision for a compassionate and people-oriented government.

In addition, Mrs. Eneh called on the foundation to remember Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and his wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah, in their monthly prayer network activities. She urged them to pray for God's abundant blessings and grace upon the governor and his family as they continue their good works in the state.

The courtesy visit marked a significant milestone in strengthening partnerships between legislative leadership and humanitarian organizations, fostering a collaborative approach towards social development. The Dorcas Women Foundation left the office deeply inspired by Mrs. Eneh’s vision, confident that her role as their matron would further amplify their mission of empowering widows and the less privileged.

With her progressive policies and humanitarian approach to governance, Rt. Hon. Jane Eneh continues to redefine leadership, proving that politics can be an instrumental tool for service delivery, transformation, and, above all, for the spreading of happiness.
