.....Also appreciates the family of the donor for such an act of benevolence.

In the face of the recurrent decimal degree of comatose on the level of insecurity quagmire ongoing in different parts of the country that one  envisages lately, several communities have resorted to putting plans in place as part of their own internal arrangement in adopting a precautionary measure towards protecting the lives and properties of their people and community against any impending danger or attack from the marauding herdsmen cattle rustlers/bandits, in a bid to fulfilling the proverbial popular saying  that "Security should be everyone's business".

Borne out of the desire and necessity to compliment the State Government's efforts on it's peace and security legacy, Dr. Madueke Ekoh (Ochubaluagu n'uno 1), an indigene of Umushike IHE Shikeaguma in his wisdom and capacity benevolently donated two Nissan vehicles to his community to aide  security patrols and surveillance within their environs.

In his welcome address, Dr. Chinenye Ekoh, on behalf of the family of Ekoh's thanked all who made the sacrifice out of their busy schedules to attend the epoch-making ceremony of the official handover of two Security vehicles, with an additional sum of #1M (One Million Naira) donated by their family to the officials of the  Federation of IHE Autonomous Communities (FIAC),  aptly represented at the occasion by two of it's Executive Members; Hon. Rufus Nwagu, President General FIAC, and Hon. Samuel Okonkwo, P.R.O FIAC.

While performing the official hand over ceremony, Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, Member representing Awgu North Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, who was aptly represented by Hon. Chris Enebe appreciated the act of philanthropy and benevolences  exhibited by Dr. Madueke Ekoh & Family in complimenting the efforts of Gov. Ugwuanyi in his administration's policy for peace and security in the State. Chief Whip while charging stakeholders in various communities to borrow a leaf from the kind gestures of Dr. Madueke Ekoh stressed that security of lives and properties should be a collaborative efforts of all and sundry. Chief Whip also enjoined the men of the FOREST GUARD to always be ontop of their game at all times since all the necessary motivations have been made available to them to ensure their efficient and effective discharge of duties.

In his response speech, Hon. Rufus Nwagu thanked the family of Ekoh's for their kind spirited hearts and charged the community to give the Security Personnels all the necessary supports needed for their hitch-free service delivery.

In his words of appreciation, His Royal Grace, Igwe Goddy Ekoh (Ezeudo 111), Igwe of Enuguechi-IHE said this is the first of it's kind in the history of the entire IHE community, thus, he said the best support his cabinet would give to the security outfit is the word of God. To the astonishment of everyone at the occasion, he shared the Igbo version of the Holy Bible to all the security operatives and charged them to put all their trust in God during the discharge of their duties, laying emphasis on a scriptural passage that says "Unless the Lord watches over a city, the watch keepers keep watch in vain", Psalm 127:1.

In another welcomed development, HRH Igwe Martin Ibeziako (Okaa Obuluzo 1 of Enuguoke-IHE), Igwe of Enuguoke-IHE, advised all the members of the security outfit to try as much as possible to always be of their best characters while carrying out their assigned task.

Dr. Chinenye Ekoh in his concluding speech called on the State Government to help in absorbing all the volunteers of the Neighbourhood Watch into the FOREST GUARD security establishment for increased security man power and adequate compensation for their great services to the community.

Enugu State is in the hands of God.
