Today Tues, May 25, a new political emancipation was ushered-in, in the Political history of Awgu Local Government Council as who is who in Awgu, both serving and past leaders ranging from political appointees, Local Government Chairman & staff, State House of Assembly Members, Commissioners, Women & Youth Groups, Stakeholders, Party Excos & Faithfuls, all gathered together at Sullivan Chime Multi-purpose hall in Awgu Local Government Headquarter to chart a new dawn for the region. 

In their various speeches at the Stakeholders' Meeting, Member representing Awgu South Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Johnson Chukwuobasi, Awgu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Pedro Nwankwo (Eze-Ome-Ogo), Local Government PDP Party Chairman, Hon. Okey Udeh (Mgbeokweluike), Commissioner for Science & Technology, Hon. Sir. Obi Kama, Commissioner for Culture & Tourism, Hon. Ugonna Ibe, and other stakeholders present at the meeting, applauded Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his great style of leadership acumen and good governance. Thus, putting aside party divides and interests, all passed vote of confidence, pledged their total unalloyed supports and solidarity to the Executive Governor cum No. 1 Lion of the State.

In the concluding speech to wrap up the collective decision of Ndi Awgu at the epoch-making expanded Stakeholders' Meeting, Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh (Agudo Nwanyi),  Member representing Awgu North Constituency in the hallowed chamber of the Enugu State House of Assembly thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for his great love for Ndi Awgu which in turn has meaningfully translated into the series of developmental milestones on grassroot infrastructures, Human Capital developments, Youth empowerment programs, Peace and Security legacy that the region currently envisage and enjoys in this current administration. Speaking further, Chief Whip assured His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi that Ndi Awgu has resolved to always stand for him, with him and by him in all ramifications for he (GBURUS) has shown capacity in all-inclusive leadership skills and competence. 

Chief Whip who re-iterated Ndi Awgu stand on the State Zoning arrangement for the 2023 Guber election, emphasized that the communiqué that would be issued at the end of this all important decision-making stakeholders' meeting is for the best interest of the entire Ndi Enugu, for events on ground has really necessitated this clarion call for everyone who mean well for the state to key into the Peace legacy of Gov. Ugwuanyi's administration, especially on Guber zoning arrangement come 2023. 




Ndi Awgu sang several party songs amidst jubilations in solidarity to Gov. Ugwuanyi's good legacy in the state. 


Enugu State is in the hands of God.
