ENUGU STATE UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION BILL PASSED INTO LAW, HOST COMMUNITY IHE PAYS SOLIDARITY VISIT TO CHIEF WHIP, JOHNSON, UBOSI, AFTER PLENARY

Jubilations as the Enugu State House of Assembly passed the Enugu State University of Education bill into law on Tuesday, 10th August, 2021 during the plenary session.


It could be recalled that on Tues, August 3rd, last week, the bill seeking to enact the law for the establishment of the said Institution passed through the second reading at the House . Thereafter, it was referred to the Committee on Education and Judiciary for an in-depth study of the clause by clause content of the bill for possible harmonization and their report submitted back to the house.  

However, as God may have it, at the plenary session on Tues, August 10, the house haven considered the report submitted by the committee to have met with the necessary requirements and standard required for the bill to be passed into law,  the bill for an act to establish the Enugu State University of Education at Ihe in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State was successfully passed. 

In appreciation for the speedy passage of the bill, Ihe Community in their numbers aptly led by His Royal Majesty (HRM), Igwe Goddy Ekoh (Ezeudo 1 of IHE) paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Hon. Johnson Chukwuobasi, Member representing Awgu South Constituency and Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi, Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, to thank them for their collaborative efforts in seeing that the Institution was given the necessary legislative backings. 



In his speech, HRM Igwe Goddy Ekoh laud His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his love for Ndi Awgu and also for citing this great historical citadel of learning in their town, saying that this legacy of his shall forever be remembered by Ndi Awgu in years to come. Stressing further, Igwe Ekoh said the Institution will go a long way in commercializing the town the more and also help the state in creating more employment opportunities for the teeming youths. 

Ihe Community sang songs of praises to his Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and renewed their stand to continue to support his administration. 

Enugu State is truly in the hands of God!!
