JUST-IN: CHIEF WHIP, COMMISSIONER, AWGU COUNCIL BOSS, STAKEHOLDERS STORM IHE FOR A THANKSGIVING SERVICE ORGANISED BY OBA N'IHE

CHIEF WHIP, COMMISSIONER, AWGU COUNCIL BOSS, STAKEHOLDERS JOIN OBA N'IHE IN A THANKSGIVING SERVICE AT IHE

In a thanksgiving service on Sun, Oct. 17th, 2021 @St. Mary's Catholic Church Ihe, Awgu L.G.A, dignitaries and some political big shots stormed the commercial and lively city of Ihe Shikeaguma Community to join Hon. Solomon Egbo and family in thanking God for his recent appointment as the Administrator of Mbanabo North Development Centre under this current tenure of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi administration.  

Recall that prior to his recent appointment, Hon. Solomon Egbo was the immediate past Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the office of the Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, a legislator in the Hallowed Chamber of the Enugu State House of Assembly representing Awgu North Constituency. Within the period he served as Chief Whip CSO, he was very committed and diligent to his duty, a virtue that earned him so much love by all. Such that uptil date, his Principal (Chief Whip) still makes reference to his person in her interaction with people.  

It is no shocking news that Hon. Egbo Solomon attains this great height in his political career because records have shown that he's a loyal and a dedicated party statesman. He served as an Executive Assistance on special duties and SSA on Internal Security & Vigilante Matters to Gov. Ugwuanyi during his first tenure in 2015. He also served as the CSO of Awgu Local Government during the tenure of Hon. Uche Anioke when he was the Local Government Council Chairman. Hon. Egbo's leadership journey will not be complete without recounting his youthful dispositions and roles he played as the then Traditional Prime Minister of CYON (Igwe ndi Youth) years back at St. Paul's Catholic Parish, Awkunanaw Enugu, where great landmarks were recorded in his reign both at the zonal and parish levels. 

For the Lord's goodness and blessings upon his life, family and Political career, Oba N'IHE deemed it imperative to return all the glory to God. Hence, the idea of the thanksgiving service scheduled in his home parish Ihe, Sun Oct. 17th. 

As a man of the people and someone who makes things happen wherever he finds himself, Hon. Egbo Solomon hosted all the invited guests to a special treat at his family compound, Uhueze Ihe, immediately after the thanksgiving service. 

In his speech at the Church and reception ceremony, Hon. Egbo Solomon thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for finding him worthy of such an honour and assured him (Gov. Ugwuanyi) that with all the experiences he had gathered working under him during his first tenure in 2015 together with other experiences gotten while working with other Political office holders in the state, he will replicate his legacy on good governance to the good people of Mbanabo North within the period of his stay in office. He (Egbo Solomon) also thanked the Chief Whip for laying such a good precedence upon which this his new political elevation was made possible.  

Speaking further, Hon. Egbo Solomon lauds the Awgu LG Council Boss, Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo (Eze Ome Ogo), Commissioner for Culture & Tourism, Hon. Ugonna Ibe and all the other Stakeholders present for honouring his invitation and thereafter solicited for their continuous prayers and support to him to enable him deliver efficiently in the task ahead of him. 

In their responses, the duo of the Commissioner for Culture & Tourism, Hon. Ugonna Ibe, SSA on Media (Radio) to the Governor, Hon. Ken Onyekaonwu congratulated him (Hon. Egbo Solomon) for the great giant political elevation he has attained in his political career and assured him that more greater positions awaits him after this tenure of his, as this is only a stepping stone for what lies ahead of him in the future. 

In the light of the moment, the pioneer members of the Youth Wing (JANE CARES SUPPORT GROUP), Comr. Ugochukwu Okonkwo and Comr. Okezie Kamah brought out an Award of Excellence to be presented to the Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh in appreciation to her for all her good works and  the roles she played in facilitating the appointment of their co-pioneer member, Hon. Egbo Solomon as an Administrator, a political feat which sons and daughters of Awgu have gathered at his home town to celebrate with him. The Award of Excellence was received by Hon. Ugonna Ibe, Commissioner for Culture & Tourism, on behalf of the Chief Whip, who was unavoidably absent at the reception ceremony due to her other engagements. 

The ceremony had many Awgu Local Government Stakeholders, PDP Party Stalwart and faithfuls in attendance which includes but not limited to the following people; Chief Whip aptly represented by her league of Aides, Awgu Local Government Council Boss and his Deputy, Hon. Pedro Nwankwo (Eze Ome Ogo) and Hon. (Barr.) Lotachukwu Ogbonnia, Commissioner for Culture & Tourism, Hon. Ugonna Ibe, SSA to the Governor on Media (Radio), Hon. Ken Onyekaonwu, Chief Anthony Onuigbo (Techno), TAs to the Governor, Comr. Kenechukwu Aneke, Mrs Ify Dunu and Comr. Stanking Ezediuto, HRM Igwe Ekoh, Former Member 2 (Board of PPSMB), Chief Polycarp Maduabuchi, SPA Political & Supervisor for Works in Awgu LG, Hon. Igweshi Jeremiah & Hon. Ikenna Okolie, Members of Jane Cares Political family, friends and well wishers within and outside Ihe Community who gathered in Ihe to grace the event in solidarity to their own. 

The event ended in praise as all the invited guests enjoyed themselves and had fun.
