Earlier today Fri, Feb. 18, before the kick-off of the campaign rally, Pedro Campaign train on its arrival at Ihe Community, was aptly led by the Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, Member representing Awgu North Constituency at the State House of Assembly to the Palaces of HRM, Igwe Dr. E. M. C. Aniagu (Ezedioramma of Enugunato Ihe ancient kingdom) and HRH Igwe Martin Ibeziako (Okaobuluzo 1 of Enuguoke Ihe) on a familiarisation visit and also for presentation of the  party flag bearers to the royal fathers. The duo of the royal fathers, HRM Igwe Dr. E. M. C. Aniagu and HRH Igwe Martin Ibeziako in their respective speeches welcomed the campaign team and lauded Gov. Ugwuanyi for his inspiring leadership, peace and infrastructural legacies in the state, saying "every public office holder is expected to emulate our Governor's example of good governance" so that together we can move the state forward. The royal fathers who extended their royal blessings to the party flag bearers also prayed for the party to emerge victoriously at the forthcoming poll.

Ugonna Ibe, DG Gburugburu Undiluted Campaign Group, Chief Anthony Onuigbo, SAs/SSAs to the Governor; Hon. Okwudili Ekoh, Hon. Henry Okeke, Hon. Ken Onyekaonwu, Hon. Ugulu. O. Ugulu, Member of the Joint Account & Allocation Commission, Hon. Mrs Gladys Chukwu, Former Speaker ENHA, Rt. Hon. Cletus Enebe, Former Board Member of PPSMB, Chief Polycarp Maduabuchi, Awgu Local Government PDP Deputy Chairman, Hon. Chukwujekwu Nebo, Commissioner for Science & Technology, Hon. Sir. Obi Carl Kamah, Member representing Awgu South Constituency at ENHA, Hon. Johnson Chukwuobasi, all thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi, the leader of PDP in the state and entire South East for creating the enabling environment for the party to strive in the state. In their respective speeches, they lauded His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his good governance and enjoined all to continue to show solidarity to the party most especially at the forthcoming Feb. 23rd Local Government poll, so that the party will emerge victoriously at the poll.

In her speech, Member representing Awgu North Constituency/Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh lauded Gov. Ugwuanyi for the footprints he has recorded on the sands of history in the state, saying all the achievements of this present administration was made possible through the platform of PDP that is in power. Chief Whip who admonished all present to continue to keep faith with PDP also implored all to vote massively for the party not just in the Feb. 23rd Local Government poll but also in the State and Federal election when the time comes. 

Performing the party rituals, Awgu Local Government PDP Chairman, Hon. Okey Udeh presented to the audience the Party flag bearers for those vying the Chairmanship and Deputy Position, Hon. Pedro Nwankwo and Hon. Barr. Lotachukwu Ogbonnia, as well as the Councillorship  positions and enjoined all party faithful to vote for the line up in the Feb. 23rd poll. Speaking further, Hon. Okey Udeh also presented to the party faithful former House of Assembly aspirants who have declared interests to be part of the party umbrella and implored all to welcome them for it is a thing of joy to see God adding to our number.

Appreciating Gov. Ugwuanyi, Awgu stakeholders and all the party faithful gathered at the rally for their mandates on him to go for a second tenure, Hon. Pedro Nwankwo assured Ndi Awgu that he will continue to serve them with the fear of the Lord as he had hitherto promised during the flag-off campaign at Awgu secretariat on Sat, Feb. 12th. Adding further, Hon. Pedro Nwankwo pleaded with all present to continue to vote for PDP for that is the party Ndi Enugu are known with as its identity.
