SEDITION LAW: SERIAL BLACKMAILER, KEN ONYEKAONWU RISK JAIL TERM SOON FOR PLAYING DOUBLE STANDARD, SPREAD OF FALSEHOOD IN AWGU

In a recent social media propaganda written and circulated by one Mr Ken Onyekaonwu, a radio presenter at Urban Radio 94.5FM, he boosted that he did what he did because he is "A stakeholder and also a concerned citizen who ought to do what is right, fair and just". 

Upon investigations on the alleged spread of falsehood, Chief Emmanuel Eneh (Egbenyi na Agbudu) confirmed in writing that he hasn't divorced his wife as they are both still living together under one roof. Agbudu Town Union Chairman, Chief Dennis Dunu also debunked the falsehood in writing that Agbudu community are witnesses to the couple still living today as one. Agbudu women and co-wives from Agbudu community too also added their voice by saying that Agudo has for long being their CWO President for many years, a position a divorcee cannot handle due to their constitution. Other proves and instances were also given by some constituents to discredit the propaganda that emanated from the mischief maker. 

On careful analysis from Ken Onyekaonwu's write-up, one may think especially the uninformed ones that he is an upright man with some elements of redefined values in him without knowing that serial blackmailing, playing of double standard, spread of falsehood had hitherto before now being his stock in trade right from his days in the leadership of UPP in the state. All the proves made available have directly placed Ken Onyekaonwu's personality under an integrity test. 

Going by Ken Onyekaonwu's antecedents, one will noted down that Ken was once a serial blackmailer of Gov. Ugwuanyi's administration but was later appointed as SA Media on Radio due to the Governor's magnanimity. But recently he has been found wanting based on his deceitful attitude which eventually distorted the renewal of his radio program by the state govt. In an attempt to keep massaging his ego, he toed back his normal stock in trade business on circulation of propaganda knowing fully well that this electioneering period is a season of cash out. 

A man who once gave some falsehood statement on the person of Ike Ekweremadu and Hon. Pedro Nwankwo's Governments have suddenly turned around to start being their best of friends. Man of dual faces.

By these escapades, Is Ken Onyekaonwu to be trusted as a sincere stakeholder? Is that the attribute of a concerned constituent? Is it that whenever his juju stops working on any government, he resorts to blackmailing? Are these attitudes best description of one who stand for what is right, fair and just as he claimed?

Ken Onyekaonwu in a video having the gathering of sons and daughters of Awgu showered encomiums on AGUDO's administration and told her that her continuity in 2023 was a sure bet. Surprisingly, he changed overnight and resorted to blackmailing same Agudo. Isn't it obvious that Ajija has started playing karma on him based his escapades in the past? Truly speaking, evil acts do not last for long. In his recent adventure to blackmail the person of Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, the grace in her opened the doors of heaven for Ajija spirit to play karma on him. 

In the said video, Ken Onyekaonwu accused ndi awgu of being peddlers of propaganda. Now I ask; 

• Is Ken Onyekaonwu not also from Awgu? Is he proving to be the only living saint in Awgu?

• What has ndi awgu got to say about Ken Onyekaonwu calling them propagandists?

By the Criminal Code of conduct, spreading of falsehood is a offence in the eyes of the law.  

Ken Onyekaonwu might be thinking that he is such a smart guy who can spread falsehood and get away with it scot-free.

But Unfortunately for Mr Ken Onyekaonwu, he is not aware that any offence committed by Sedition is punishable by the Law. 

What is Sedition Law? Sedition laws "prohibit any acts, speech, or publications, or writing that were made with seditious intent. Sedition law is a serious felony punishable by law either by payment of fines or imprisonment up to 20yrs"

Sedition refers to "the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it". 

For anyone to get an exemption from Criminal Liability, the following are the defences; "That he did make the sign or representation or not speak or write the words, or not do any act in question". 

By the above explanations, Ken Onyekaonwu has finally been caught in the web. Substantial evidences are on ground to nail him before the law. 

It is said that whomever wish to come to equity must do so with clean hands. Ken Onyekaonwu decided to trend with his hands broadly stained with character of falsehood. 

By this pitch, I call for his termination of appointment.  He should be relieved of his appointment in the state and also convicted by court of competent jurisdiction. 

Such kind of character as envisaged in the likes of Ken Onyekaonwu shouldn't be encouraged in our society, for his dual nature is a negative influence to the growing generation.  

If Ken Onyekaonwu is allowed to go unpunished, our upcoming generation will think that spreading of falsehood a new normal.
