Jubilations yesterday Tuesday, August 23rd, amongst the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) Presidents in the various parishes of Awgu, Aninri and Oji-River Local Government Areas, as Barr. Peter Mbah, Enugu PDP Guber flag bearer for 2023, celebrated with the women on their successful round-off of their Annual August Meeting held at St. Michael's Catholic Cathedral, Awgu.

Declaring the meeting open with a short prayer, Rev. Fr. Basil Nwaeze, Chaplain of St. Michael's Catholic Cathedral Awgu, who was represented by Rev. Fr. Hojo, encouraged the women to continue to show relevance in the build-up of the church, home and the society at large, stating that women are known-builders of such institutions.

In her welcome note to the women gathered for the meeting, the leader of C.W.O Greater Awgu region, Mrs Nzeka encouraged the women to endeavour to keep in mind at all times the theme of this year's celebration; "Women, The Home, Peace and Bridge Builders", for that is the only way to show act of exemplary leadership.

Addressing the women during her visit in company of the Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, the Enugu State PDP woman leader, Mrs Vera Ezeugwu congratulated the region for their performances and trophies won during the flag-off ceremony of the August Meeting at okpara square, and enjoined the women to keep being diligent in their line of duties at all times.

Mrs Ezeugwu also informed the women that Barr. Peter Mbah, the PDP State Guber flag bearer for 2023, sent his greetings to all the women as they round-off their Annual August Meeting for the year.

In her speech, Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, Member representing Awgu North Constituency, who is also the CWO President of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish Agbudu, appreciated the women for all the success story that have been recorded of women in the state. She therefore implored the women never to relent in their efforts towards lifting the bars.

As we keep praying for Nigeria, Enugu State and our dear Governor, H.E, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, I also implore us to extend same prayers and supports to the PDP Guber flag bearer in the state, Barr. Peter Mbah, for he is the person to consolidate on Gov. Ugwuanyi's inspiring leadership and achievements, to further advance the state to much greater heights, Chief Whip added.

The women in their resolve, pledged their supports and solidarity to PDP and it's flag bearers in the state. They promised to relay same message across to their colleagues at home.
