CHIEF WHIP ENHA, ENEH, JOINS AWGU-ANIKE COMMUNITY TO WELCOME  DR. PETER MBAH, TEAM, TO AWGU SOUTH TOWN HALL MEETING

Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, who is also the PDP candidate for 2023, on wednesday, Nov. 23rd, joined the PDP Governorship candidate of the state, Dr. Peter Mbah and his team, for a "Town Hall Meeting" with the people of Awgu Central and Anikenano Ugwueme Development Centres. 

Recall that the PDP governorship candidate in the State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, his running mate, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, other PDP candidates in the state, the PDP State Party Chairman, Hon. Augustine Nnamani, the Director-General of the party's state campaign organization, Chief Ikeje Asogwa and his team, among others, have been holding Town Hall Meetings across the 68 Development Centres in the state, to interact with the people of the respective centres on their expectations from his administration, if voted into power in 2023. 

Introducing the PDP Governorship candidate to the people of Awgu South, Hon. Augustine Nnamani (Ozoigbondu) enjoined ndi Awgu to vote for Peter Mbah as Governor, Osita Ngwu as Enugu West Senator, Anayo Onwuegbu as House of Representative member, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh as Enugu State House of Assembly member for Awgu North and Tony Nwankwo as Enugu State House of Assembly member for Awgu South, during the 2023 poll. 

In his words, Engr. Osita Ngwu (RG), the PDP candidate for Enugu West Senatorial Zone, affirmed that he once resided in Awgu while growing up and seeing some roads still remaining in their deteriorating state as they were years back gives him much concern. He (RG) promised Ndi Awgu that if voted into power, he will not leave road construction for the Executive alone. I shall embark on some road construction project too, to compliment the efforts of the state, Engr. Osita Ngwu promised. 

In their speeches, Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu (Member representing Awgu/Aninri/Oji-River Federal Constituency); Chief Anayo Onwuegbu (Omeiheukwu);PDP candidate for Aninri/Awgu/Oji-River Federal Constituency; Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo (Awgu Council Chairman); Hon. Nathan Okey Udeh (Awgu PDP party chairman); Hon. Obi Carl Kamah (Commissioner for science & Technology); Hon. Tony Nwankwo (PDP candidate for 2023 ENHA Awgu South); Hon. Johnson Chukwuobasi (Member representing Awgu South State Constituency); Chief Prince Gilbert Chikwado Chukwunta (Former Enugu Governorship Aspirant); Hon. Maximus Oha (Administrator, Awgu Central Development Centre), all assured Dr. Peter Mbah that Awgu South is PDP and it's votes in 2023 belong to PDP.

Highlight of the event also featured handover of an "ófò staff" to Dr. Peter Mbah by the Traditional Rulers Council of Awgu Central development centre, as their symbol of endorsement, as well as, the solidarity of the people of the community to PDP and its candidates in 2023. 

On their concerns from Dr. Mbah's administration, the people of Awgu Central and Anikenano Ugwueme Development Centres took turn to request for; Construction of Roads, Access to electricity, agriculture, youth empowerment, employment, infrastructures, security and  other dividend of democracy to their people. 

Responding to the list of demands from the various communities, Dr. Mbah first of all, thanked the people of the two development centres for their warm welcome and hospitality, stressing that the jubilant people from the two development centres was a clear pointer and also a morale booster to the team, that truly Awgu is PDP.  

Speaking further, Dr. Mbah explained to the people that all they have listed were captured in his manifesto and they would be receiving attention once they assume office in 2023. 

Dr. Mbah went further to explain how his administration will focus more on agro-allied industrialisation to boost agricultural production in the state. 

On youth empowerment, employment, road network and security, Dr. Mbah stated too, that his administration will set up robust packages that would be very essential in driving these project, since they are already captured in his manifesto.  

On tourism, Dr. Mbah explained that the topography of the area is a very good site to harness as a world class film city.

Dr. Mbah enjoined Ndi Awgu to get their PVCs ready to vote for PDP, to enable them win and set the ball rolling via implementation of their work plans captured in their manifesto.

Other dignitaries present at the town hall meeting includes but not limited to the following; Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh (Agudo), Member representing Awgu North Constituency; Hon. (Barr) Lota Ogbonnia, D-Mayor Awgu LG; Chief Francis Obasi, CEO Toscana Hotels Ltd; Chief Francis Ossy Nwobi, CEO Fontana Oil & Hotels Ltd; Hon. Ugonna Ibeh, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism; Hon. Nnanna Nze, Former Awgu Council Chairman; PGs; Traditional Rulers; Political Appointees & Stakeholders; Party leaders & faithful; Support Groups; among others.  

The meeting ended in praise as Ndi Awgu truly affirms that "Our Tomorrow is here, with Dr Peter Mbah/Ossai in 2023".
