A SALUTE TO AN EAGLE DIPLOMAT – DR. PETER NDUBUISI MBAH.
It is with a profound gratitude to God that I heartily congratulate you, onbehalf of the good people of Awgu North Constituency over your victory at the just concluded March 18 poll, as the Enugu State Governor-Elect.
Ndi Enugu made their choice through the ballot which saw to your emergence as the right man whom the cap fits. Your proven capacity, track records and competence are not in doubt for we are very much optimistic that your wealth knowledge and experience will go a long way in propelling rapid transformation in our state. Your win is a manifestation of God's will and the desire of Ndi Enugu. It is indeed a well-deserved victory for our state and also for our democracy.
No doubt, the electioneering process was characterised with lots of intrigues, high expectations, tough competitons as well as moments of threatening challenges but God's willing, you pulled through the storm to emerge victoriously as the best among equal.
According to the result of the Governorship Election called out by the INEC State Returning Officer, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe yesterday wednesday, March 22, Peter Mbah of People's Democratic Party (PDP) scored 160, 895 votes to defeat his closest rival, Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party (LP) who scored 157,552 votes, Dr. Peter Mbah of PDP was therefore declared the winner of the poll, haven satisfied the requirement of the law. I therefore join the rest of Ndi Enugu and all lovers of goodwill who have spoken with a resounding voice through the ballot, to celebrate you, our Governor-elect on your resounding victory. You are the rock upon which we stand.
To the glory of God, it has ended in praises. We have finally embraced our long awaited tomorrow is here. It is on this premise that I call on Ndi Enugu to join hands with Dr. Peter Mbah for us to collectively build the Enugu State of our desired dream and win big for our people.
As we thank God Almighty for giving Dr. Peter Mbah victory, I pray for his wisdom and grace upon him in the discharge of his duties (as outlined in his manifesto) in his vision to taking Enugu State to more greater heights.
Congratulations to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (CON), The Executive Governor of Enugu State and Leader of PDP in Enugu State and South East Nigeria.
