MAY DAY 2023: CHIEF WHIP ENHA, ENEH SENDS A MESSAGE TO ENUGU WORKERS.

MAY DAY 2023: CHIEF WHIP ENHA, ENEH URGE ENUGU WORKERS, NLC, TUC TO EXTEND SAME ROBUST RELATIONSHIP THEY ENJOY UNDER GOV. UGWUANYI'S GOVT TO MBAH'S ADMINISTRATION

Published by JANE-CARESTV, Monday May 1st, 2023.

Chief Whip ENHA, Hon. Mrs Jane . C. Eneh, Member representing Awgu North Constituency has called on Enugu workers, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the state to extend same friendly partnership and robust working relationship they enjoyed in this present government of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's administration to his successor, the Enugu Governor-Elect, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah when he assumes office as the governor of the state.

Expressing confidence that if the workers and the organised labour union in the state will partner with Dr. Peter Mbah's administration, the state will witness more of developmental strides and improved productivity that will help to complement the ones already put in place by Gov. Ugwuanyi-led administration.

In a clarion call, Chief Whip urge the trade union and workers across the state to continue to put the interest of the state first above self in the discharge of their duties, for the good of the state and welfare of the workers in general.

Emphasizing on Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah's antecedents and track records in both public and private sectors, as a good testimonial which has earned Mbah the confidence of the people, Chief Whip expressed optimism that Mbah's administration will build on Gov. Ugwuanyi's legacy in advancing more job creations, training and upskilling of workers, improvement of workers' welfare in the state, among others, for enhanced progressive developments much more than expected.

Chief Whip made the above contributions during a media interactive session with the media crew of JANE-CARESTV today Monday, May 1, in commemorating this year's International Workers' Day Celebration 2023, with the theme "Workers' Rights and Socioeconomic Justice".

As we commemorate this year's International Workers' Day, also known as Labour Day or May Day, while putting into consideration workers' rights and achievements, I join the rest of Ndi Enugu to honour and thank our parents, brothers and sisters in recognition of their immense contributions and dedicated service to better the state. May the good Lord continue to bless and reward their efforts, hard work and services to our home state, Chief Whip appreciates Enugu workers.

Reminding Ndi Enugu that Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah came prepared, judging from the contents of his manifesto, his social contract to Ndi Enugu, Chief Whip enjoin everyone to give Mbah's administration all the needed support to achieve the desired result that we all anticipate.

"To anticipate much, we also owe the government in power our maximum support in achieving its set down goals. This is a garbage in, garbage out process which we must strive to strike a balance at all times", Chief Whip advises Enugu workers.

Happy May Day Celebration to all of us in the state, Chief Whip wishes Enugu workers.
