Hon. Uche Ugwu of Udi North Constituency was elected the speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly upon his nomination by Iloabuchi Aniagu (Nkanu West Constituency) and seconded by Anthony Chukwudi Nwankwo (Awgu South Constituency).
