SCHOLARSHIP: AWGU NORTH REP, ENEH PAYS 3RD TERM TUITION FEES OF OVER 100 INDIGENT STUDENTS IN HER CONSTITUENCY

In her commitment to responsive governance, people-oriented service delivery, effective and efficient representation to her constituents, Member representing Awgu North Constituency and Immediate past Chief Whip ENHA, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, has continued to keep faith with the payment of tuition fees of indigent students in her constituency.

As the 2022/2023 academic session winds up, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh has made payment for the third term tuition, sports, examination and development fees of over one hundred indigent students in her scholarship scheme.

It is on record that in 2019 when Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh assumed office as member representing Awgu North state constituency, she initiated JANE CARES SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME for her constituents through her foundation that focuses on: Payment of tuition fees for indigent students every term; Payment of Junior Secondary School Examination Fees (i.e Basic Education Certificate Examination) for indigent students of JSS 3 class; Sponsorship of Adult literacy education program for fathers, mothers and youths; Bursary for indigent students of tertiary institution; Sponsorship of welfare packages for the widows; Sponsorship of empowerment packages for the youths and widows; Sponsorship of persons/group of persons for skill acquisition training, among others.

Since 2019 till date, her foundation has recorded huge success in the number of beneficiaries increasing progressively.

On the part of the secondary schools indigent students' tuition fees payment category, the beneficiaries selected across the secondary schools in the constituency had been benefiting from the scheme since their JSS1 class till this their present SS1 class.

The scheme also saw to the payment of these students' registration fees during their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), otherwise called Junior WAEC, last year 2022, through the office of the Chief Registrar, Examination Development Centre (EDC), Mr Emma Obiora Ezugorie (JP).

All these efforts are in line with the legislator's resolve and determination to see that these children complete their secondary school education, from start to finish, without any form of reason to drop out of school due to financial constraints.

The jubilant students have continued to express joy and happiness over the termly support they had being receiving under their representative's scholarship scheme since their JSS1 class till date. They prayed God to continue to enlarge her coast abundantly.

In their separate remarks, the Principals of the respective schools also lauded the legislator for her benevolence and consistency of the program. They explained that her program is a very huge financial relief to the parents/guardians of the beneficiaries. In their goodwill messages, they prayed for more grace upon the legislator to continue to soar higher in her political career.

Mrs Eneh who thanked God for seeing her through the first tenure also prayed for his abundant grace to do more for the people of the constituency in this her second tenure in office.
