AUGUST MEETING: DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER ENHA, ENEH ADVISES WOMEN TO PAY ATTENTION TO FAMILY RESPONSIBILITY, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Deputy Minority Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Chinwe Eneh has advised women to make concerted efforts at attending to family responsibilities and community development in this year's annual August return.

Mrs Eneh made this call in a message to Awgu North women today, wednesday, August 9, during the flag-off of the 2023 August Women Conference at Michael Okpara Square, Independence layout, Enugu.

Mrs Eneh urged the women to use this year's 'August return' to deliberate on issues that will impact positively on families, children, and communities for societal progress and developments.

"The responsibility resting on the shoulders of our mothers is enormous."Women should sit down to know their core responsibilities in their various homes such as child upbringing, home management, health habits, among others, for a progressive society."

"It is imperative that we women use this opportune moment of August meeting to chart a new course on how to better our homes for accelerated development in the constituency and state in general."

"A great number of societal ills and moral decadence are traceable to the negligence of parents, especially women who have deliberately absconded from their responsibilities in imbibing good moral values in children upbringing. This downward trend is negatively affecting the society, which is not good for our progress,"  Mrs Eneh added.

"Let's go to build our homes, churches, communities, and state in general," Mrs Eneh enjoined women.

Mrs Eneh gave this advice to Awgu North women through Mrs Gladys Chukwu after the successful flag-off ceremony of the women conference.
