ENUGU @32: ENUGU DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER, ENEH CALLS FOR COLLABORATIVE EFFORT WITH GOV. MBAH-LED ADMINISTRATION IN BUILDING TOGETHER THE ENUGU STATE OF OUR DREAMED TOMORROW

As Enugu State marks the 32nd anniversary of its creation today sunday, August 27, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Chinwe Eneh has called for a collaborative effort with Gov. Peter Mbah in building together the Enugu State of our dream.

Mrs Eneh emphasized that in getting it right, all hands must be on deck, shun politics of hate and reunite together as one, irrespective of our inherent cultural inclinations, religious divides, and political affiliations in the state.

Paying tributes to the sacrifices and legacies of our founding fathers, Mrs Eneh commended the efforts of the successive governments in their concerted efforts at upholding the dreams upon which the creation of the state was anchored.

The creation of Enugu State on 27th of August 1991, by the then Gen. Ibrahim Babangida-led administration was a God's designed project for a purpose - fulfilment of a dream of a given set of people who have a date with destiny. So, Gov. Mbah is not out of place in his slogan that "Our Tomorrow is Here". The carving out of Enugu State from the Old Anambra State was indeed a fulfilled dream for the people of "Wawa land". That dream of a better tomorrow is finally here if we work together with Gov. Mbah-led administration in achieving so.

The ideal, philosophy and dream of our founding fathers, both alive and those of blessed memory, was for Ndi Enugu to be one prosperous state, in loving, respecting and uniting with one another for a unity of purpose which is "having a wawa state we can call our own, where peace and progress strives". Such is the same legacy that Gov. Mbah is making concerted efforts and sacrifices in trying to uphold in this his administration. So, let's join hands together as a people, together with the government of the day in preserving this sustainable peace legacy for our children and also for the generations ahead.

The Deputy minority leader made this call during a media interactive chat with the media team of JANE-CARESTV over the weekend.

Today's Enugu State is an outcome of a dream and effort of our founding fathers borne out of love, unity and respect for one another. Let us in our own generation too, make efforts to preserve these virtues and legacy by paying more attentions to the course of our actions and inactions, Mrs Eneh advises.

Our Tomorrow is Here!!!
