Jubilation across Awgu North Constituency today, thursday, August 10, as the twenty commissioner designates were successfully inaugurated at the Exco chambers, Enugu Government House. 

Recall that earlier while presenting the first batch of the fifteen (15) commissioner nominees on friday, July 28, by the secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, the governor, informed the house that “While this may not be the exhaustive list, I’m optimistic that this request will receive your usual expeditious consideration”.

The first batch of the nominees was successfully screened by the house on thursday, August 3rd. 

In keeping with his promise to forward the second batch of the nominees for screening and subsequent swearing-in as commissioners in Enugu state, the state governor, Dr. Peter Mbah yesterday wednesday, August 9, submitted the second batch of five (5) commissioner nominees to the lawmakers for confirmation and speedy consideration.

After a successful screening and submission of CV today, thursday, August 10, it brings the list to a total number of twenty (20) commissioner designates in the state. They are -

3. Prince Lawrence Eze (Prince of Mburumbu)

4. Professor Sam Ugwu

5. Pharmacist Chika Ugwoke

6. Dr. Kingsley Ude

Congratulating her constituents, Mrs Adaora Chukwu and Dr. Martin Chukwunweike, shortly after the inauguration, Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Chinwe Eneh tasked the commissioners for optimal performance.

Reminding them of Gov. Mbah's seven-point agenda on integrated sector-based productivity growth, otherwise referred to as TRACCIE, an acronym for; Tourism Development; Rural and Urban Infrastructure; Agriculture; Commerce and Industries; Creative Industries; ICT; Energy and Mineral resources," Mrs Eneh implored them to get down to work for rapid results of accelerated development in the state.

Commending Gov. Mbah for his love and magnanimity to Ndi Awgu North, Mrs Eneh gave the assurance that her constituency will never take this kind gesture for granted.

"Awgu North Constituency will never disappoint you. "We shall continue to support your administration for accelerated development," Mrs Eneh promises Gov. Mbah. 

Surely, "Our Tomorrow is Here".
