SCHOLARSHIP: ENUGU DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER, ENEH PAYS 1ST TERM FEES FOR OVER 100 INDIGENT STUDENTS OF SENIOR SECONDARY IN HER CONSTITUENCY

The Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Chinwe Eneh has paid the school fees of over one hundred indigent students in her constituency.

The lawmaker who had been making payments for the students' tuition, sports and examination fees in the various community secondary schools across the constituency since 2019  that the students were in JSS1 class, through their JSS3 BECE (Basic Education Certificate Examination) till now that they are in SS 2, said the gesture was to reduce the financial burden on parents.

She stated that the scholarship was part of her contributions to the educational advancement of the poor and indigent students in her constituency. In fulfilment of her campaign promise on quality service delivery, effective and efficient representation to the good people of Awgu North Constituency, she embarked on this initiative as a way of thanking the constituents for their mandate, prayers and support all along.

She therefore encouraged the students to be more serious with their studies, for education is key to human development.

Commending the lawmaker for consistency of the program, the principals and beneficiaries poured out their hearts in gratitude to her, for her heart of gold and magnanimity.
