ENUGU DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER, ENEH CONGRATULATES SEN. NGWU ON EMERGENCE AS SENATE MINORITY WHIP

The Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Chinwe Eneh has congratulated Senator Osita Ngwu (RG) on his emergence as the new Minority Whip of the Senate.

During the Senate plenary on Tuesday, November 21, the Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio officially notified the senate of the emergence of Sen. Abba Moro (PDP Benue State) as the new Minority Leader of the Senate, and Sen. Osita Ngwu (PDP Enugu State) as the new Minority Whip of the Senate. 

The new appointments became necessary following the removal of Sen. Simon Mwadkwon of PDP Plateau State and Sen. Darlington Nwokocha of Labour Party Abia State, by Court of Appeal.  

Sen. Mwadkwon and Sen. Nwokocha had served as the Minority Leader and Minority Whip of the 10th senate before the decision of the Appeal court lately. 

In a statement made available to JANE-CARESTV, the deputy minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh said Senator Osita Ngwu's emergence as the Minority Whip of the Senate was well deserved. She commended him for his resilience and doggedness in the senate since their inauguration to date. 

She noted that she has no doubt that Sen. Ngwu will use his new position as one of the principal officers in the senate to help in motivating the enactment of legislations that will be people-oriented, catalysts that will improve the Nigerian economy for the much needed development, that will impact on job creation, infrastructural renaissance, national security and unification of the country. 

"I believe with this elevation, you will use your preeminent position to further and advance the cause of Enugu West Senatorial zone and our dear Enugu State in general at all times."

"I wish you God's grace, wisdom, understanding, sound health to discharge your duties diligently and on the right path for the good of humanity," Mrs Eneh stated.
