2024 BUDGET: ENUGU DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER, ENEH LAUDS GOV. MBAH FOR PRIORITIZING EDUCATION, SAYS HIS DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION WILL BOOST ENUGU'S ECONOMY.

The Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Chinwe Eneh lauds Gov. Peter Mbah for prioritizing education in his budget presentation for 2024 fiscal year. 

Gov. Mbah, on Tuesday, December 5, presented the 2024 Appropriation Bill (Budget Proposal) of 521.5 billion naira to the Enugu State House of Assembly, tagged 'Budget of Disruptive Economic Growth.'

The Budget of Disruptive Economic Growth as presented by Gov. Mbah of Enugu State proposes N414.3bn (80%) for capital expenditure and N107.2bn (20%) for recurrent expenditure, with N134.5bn being proposed for education, which represents 73.6% of the total sum earmarked for social services. 

The Deputy Minority leader in a media interaction with JANE-CARESTV shortly after the presentation of the budget said the 2024 budget is well packaged to fast track economic growth and tackle the myriad of challenges bedevilling the state to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the state. 

"The budget is good, and it has an attitude of diversification through disruptive innovation when you clearly have a good look at it. The budget proposal is encompassing as it targets education, security, economy, agriculture, and healthcare, among others." 

"According to her, Enugu State Government is doing everything possible to impact positively on the lives of the people of the state through disruptive innovation." Mrs Eneh therefore called on Ndi Enugu to support the government and give it a chance to move the state forward. She expressed hope that the future is bright for our dear state."

Speaking further, Mrs Eneh commended Gov. Mbah-led administration for making efforts to diversify the economy and tapping into the "unexploited opportunities and resources available in the state."

"This 2024 Appropriation bill (Budget Proposal) truly reflects the campaign promises of Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. As we can see, Gov. Mbah came prepared, and he is ready to work. I call on Ndi Enugu to support him to succeed," Mrs Eneh stated. 

"Certainly, our long awaited tomorrow is here. Our dear governor, Mr Innovator, is here to work," Mrs Eneh added."
