END OF YEAR MESSAGE: ENUGU DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER, ENEH THANKS CONSTITUENTS FOR THEIR UNWAVERING SUPPORT, PROMISES MORE SERVICE DELIVERY IN 2024, LAUDS GOV. MBAH'S EFFORTS IN CHANGING THE NARRATIVE IN THE STATE

Season's Greeting to you, Good people of Awgu North!!

It has indeed been a very wonderful year of God's love and amazing grace upon us as a people and constituents.

Most importantly is the fact that we are alive to graciously witness the end of the year, 2023. Congratulations to us as we toast to our collective achievements in the constituency while still hoping and praying to God for a brighter tomorrow in achieving more.

May i use this opportune moment to appreciate each and every one of you for your support, prayers, and team spirit all along.

As we move into the new year on January 1st, it is pertinent for us to reflect on our achievements so far, as well as our limitations in the past years.

As your representative, I am confident to say that we have recorded successes and have also established dedication and trust in our duties.

It is my belief that whatever challenges we may have faced collectively and individually in the year 2023 weren't in any way, out of our own making. But if we join hands together as one big and united family in the coming year, we will surely overcome them. As a people, we should strive for more consideration for others before self.

As we pray for the coming "Year 2024" to be a very good and promising year for us all, it is our collective responsibility to pay attention to things that truly unites us and eschew divisive tendencies. In doing so, i urge us to listen to issues that will bring about the needed development and not things that will run us down. We have to show understanding towards each other and conduct ourselves in a manner that will set us on the path of progress. Unity is strength, and togetherness is an attitude. Everyone is important in his/her own unique way, so let us join hands together to win big for our constituency.

As your servant leader, I am committed to making good and steady progress that will make our constituency the envy of all. I am committed to working even harder towards achieving a successful and result-oriented constituency. It is my dream and prayer to put on record, achievements that we all can look back at, and be very proud of someday. My focus is to create an economy-enabling environment that's fit for the future of all. It is my earnest desire to build a stronger and fairer constituency for every one that will bring about renewed confidence and pride.

I must admit to the glory of God that we made progress in the past years on issues such as creating new opportunities for our people  in area of empowerment programs, attraction of infrastructural development on school building/renovation projects, sponsorship of scholarship scheme for indigent students, sponsorship of free adult literacy education program for the youths and elderly, rebranding of our local security architecture for enhanced community policing, annual widows' welfare packages, skill acquisition training and establishment of trained entrepreneurs, among others. Many of these are outside of our core mandate, which is lawmaking and oversight duties. But to the glory God, in all these, we still made progress and also gave our best.

However, I must recognize the fact that there is still a lot of work to be done, but sincerely speaking, I can not do it alone without your prayers and support.

While we count our blessings in the constituency and name them one-by-one, it is ideal that we consolidate on our gains in achieving more. I, therefore, urge us not to relent in our efforts and support to Gov. Mbah-led administration for more dividends of democracy and service delivery to the state. You will agree with me that within this short period of stay in office, Gov. Mbah has shown capacity in leadership by changing the narrative. We must, therefore, commend him for his 2024 budget of disruptive economic growth, which will by next year enhance accelerated development in the state, in addition to some of the already recorded landmark achievements within the last few months. Actualization of Enugu water project in 180 days, flag-off of road construction/maintenance in Enugu Urban, growing of the state GDP/economy boost, digitization of MDAs, peace and security advancement, attraction of investors, among others, which we are all witnesses to, in the state, are courtesy of Gov. Mbah's giant political feat.

Gov. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is indeed God's gift to Ndi Enugu and the moses of our time. We pray for more grace upon His Excellency to continue to soar higher like an Eagle.

As we look forward to the coming year, I pray that the year presents to us greater opportunities for excellence, in our homes, constituency, and state in general.

I wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year in advance.

Signed

Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh.

Deputy Minority Leader ENHA.

Member representing Awgu North Constituency.
