SCHOLARSHIP: ENUGU DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER, ENEH PAYS 2ND TERM TUITION FEES FOR OVER 100 INDIGENT STUDENTS IN AWGU NORTH

As part of her concerted efforts at supporting families across the constituency, the Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh (JP) has offsetted the second term tuition, sports, and examination fees for one hundred (100) indigent students for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The lawmaker who has been consistent with this scholarship scheme since 2019 to date, maintains that the initiative is aimed at providing opportunities for every child to thrive, as education remains the pivot for the development and prosperity of any society and nation.

She noted that financial constraints, most times, truncate the dreams of many deserving students.

"Therefore, in addressing this issue, I have devised a plan to bridge the gap and alleviate the financial burden on indigent families," Mrs Eneh explains.

She reiterates her commitments towards ensuring a start-to-finish program, such that the indigent students under this scholarship scheme since their JSS1 will finish their SS3 without any reason to drop out of school due to financial constraints.
