The Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh has lauded the efforts of workers from her constituency on the occasion of this year's International Workers' Day.
The deputy minority leader, in her message to mark the day, said that the workers in the state have paid their dues over the years, therefore, they deserve to be celebrated always, not just on workers' day. Despite the trying times in the country, there is much to remember about the remarkable sacrifices made by workers.
The lawmaker commended workers at all levels, both in the private and public sectors, within her constituency for their commitments and dedication to work over the years, which in turn has helped to shapen the economic growth of the state tremendously.
Recalling the sacrifices of the workers in the state, the deputy minority leader said such will not go in vain, noting that they will continue to reap from their good works. In her words, the deputy minority leader said, "I want to applaud your dedication and patriotic services over the years, and for always giving your best in the discharge of your duties, irrespective of the challenges that abounds."
"I am very proud of you. Your diligence and invaluable contributions to the economic growth and development of our state are worth commending. It is my hope that you will continue to sustain this diligence and do more for the betterment of our state," the deputy minority leader added.
"I want to use this medium to urge you to please, redouble your efforts at this time of our state's disruptive economic growth and development. Continue to put in your best in the work you do, be more productive now and always. What was achieved before now must be sustained and improved upon, for the betterment of our state," the deputy minority leader urges workers.
While wishing workers a spirit filled celebration with a charge on them to be proud of their works, the deputy minority leader called for more dedication and patriotism from her constituents, saying the challenges of the moment will soon be over as the present administration in the state is committed to changing the narrative.
