The Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh has lauded the governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for being intentional with walking the talk on disruptive innovation in his manifesto deliverables.

The Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on Saturday, May 25, flagged off the construction of a 5-Star International Conference Centre Hotel in Enugu City.

Speaking during the flag-off/foundation laying ceremony, Gov. Mbah emphasized the strategic nature of the project.

He stated that the project is about connecting the dots as a key enabler in realizing the goal of making Enugu State the premier destination for tourism, in addition to business, investments, and living.

The five-star hotel is a game-changer towards restoring the tourist appeal of the state, which will be the first of its kind in the southeast Nigeria, when completed.

"This is the vision our administration intends to bring to life at the East side premises of the ongoing International Conference Centre construction site in Independence layout, Enugu City.

"By April 2025, the 5-Star hotel should be ready for commissioning," Gov. Mbah disclosed.

Worthy of note is the fact that the location of the Enugu 5-Star International Conference Centre Hotel is less than five kilometres from the Nnamdi International Airport, Enugu and at the cosmopolitan axis of city centre, sharing ariel view with the Government House (Lion building) and the popular Michael Okpara Square.

Gov. Mbah after the foundation laying ceremony, proceeded to inspect the ongoing work at the 5,000-capacity International Conference Centre, Enugu.

Truly, our long-awaited tomorrow is here!
