CELEBRATING QUALITY REPRESENTATION: ENUGU DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER, ENEH'S LANDMARK ACHIEVEMENTS IN AWGU NORTH CONSTITUENCY

As Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh (Agudo) marks one year in office on thursday, June 13, 2024, in 8th Assembly, we are celebrating a journey of transformative leadership and quality representation in Awgu North Constituency. The landmark achievements are a testament to her dedication to education, empowerment, and community development, among others. These include: 

Education

- Paid tuition fees for 100 indigent students under her scholarship scheme 

- Offered assistance to students seeking admission into higher institutions 

- Gave bursary to indigent students in higher institutions 

Empowerment

- Appointed over 60 personal aides across the constituency

- Recommended constituents for state jobs

Community Development

- Organized sensitization program on child abuse & gender-based violence in secondary schools across the constituency 

- Funded welfare package for local agro-squad-rangers (neighbourhood watch)

- Funded end of the year beautification package for widows across the constituency 

- Sponsored distribution of bags of rice, wrappers, and cash gifts to constituents during the yuletide

- Organized full tank filling of premium motor spirit (fuel) to over a thousand number of motorcycle riders

- Sponsored welfare package to CWO members across the constituency 

Leadership

- Assisted in the state governor's award of scholarship and rehabilitation to a victim of child abuse

- Introduced a weekly online constituency voice hour on security reports across the constituency

- Operates open-door policy and all-inclusive governance

Appreciations and much gratitude to our visionary leader, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the executive governor of our state, for the inspiring leadership and unwavering commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises.

Under Gov. Mbah-led administration, our state has witnessed remarkable progress, including accelerated development, infrastructural projects, and empowerment initiatives. Gov. Mbah's dedication to the betterment of our state is truly commendable.

Sincere appreciation is also extended to Her Excellency, Mrs Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah, the wife of the governor, for her selfless services through the ministry of children, gender affairs, and social development. Her tireless efforts in providing scholarships and support to children and women have made a significant impact on our constituency and the state in general.
