The Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh has called on constituents and Ndi Enugu in general to support Gov. Mbah-led administration for accelerated development and fruitful dividends of democracy in the state.

The deputy minority leader made this call in a statement made available to JANE-CARESTV.

Full text of the statement reads thus:

Fellow Constituents/Ndi Enugu,

As we mark the 31st anniversary of our Democracy Day on June 12, 2024, I join millions of citizens to celebrate this milestone. Today, we reflect on our journey, acknowledge our challenges, and rekindle hope for a brighter future.

Three decades ago, our nation took a significant step towards democratic governance, paving the way for freedom, justice, and equality. Since then, we have made significant strides in consolidating our democracy despite the obstacles we face.

As a public servant, I understand the current economic hardships many of us face. However, I urge you to remain steadfast and united. Our democracy has weathered storms, and together, we can overcome the present difficulties.

Let us remember the sacrifices of our heroes past, who fought tirelessly for the democracy we enjoy today. Their legacy inspires us to work towards a more prosperous state and nation, where every citizen has access to opportunities and resources.

As we move forward, I call on constituents and Ndi Enugu to:

- Remain hopeful and resilient in the face of adversity

- Continue to support the leaders for good governance and other dividends of democracy

- Pray for our nation that God may guide and prosper us

Together, we can build a Nigeria where democracy delivers dividends for all.

Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria!

Long live our great nation!

Your servant in governance,

Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh,

Deputy Minority Leader ENHA,

Member representing Awgu North Constituency.
