The Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, a dedicated public servant representing Awgu North constituency, extends her heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo (One-Day, One-Project) and Dr. Stanley Ezediuto on their well-deserved selection as the 2024 PDP chairmanship and deputy chairman flag bearers of Awgu local government council. This significant victory is a testament to their unwavering commitment, extensive experience, and exemplary administrative prowess, which have distinctly set them apart from other aspirants.




The primary was conducted by officials of the Independent National  Commission (INEC), strictly adhering to the guidelines established for the conduct of elections in the country.



The primary election, which was widely regarded as peaceful, free, and fair, saw the chairmanship aspirant, Hon. Uchenna Okolo and his deputy, Dr. Stanley Ezediuto secured unanimous victory by scoring 33 out of 33 of the total votes cast.



In her congratulatory message, the deputy minority leader expressed joy and happiness in the duo's selection, noting that their wealth of experience and distinguished service records are invaluable assets that will greatly benefit Ndi Awgu. She emphasized that Hon. Uchenna Okolo's administrative antecedents have not only earned him the trust of the people but have also positioned him as the ideal candidate to lead the council towards greater heights.


Mrs. Eneh assured Mr. Okolo and his deputy of her unwavering support, as well as the backing of the good people of the council, as they embark on their important administrative tenure. She expressed confidence that under their leadership, Awgu will witness the same level of progress and development that has been championed by the esteemed governor of the state, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose legacy of good governance serves as a benchmark for future leaders.

Highlighting the critical need for accelerated development in the council, Mrs. Eneh called on Hon. Okolo to bring his extensive experience to bear in addressing the challenges facing the council. She urged him to continue the work of transforming the council into a hub of growth and prosperity, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of the people are met with diligence and dedication.

In conclusion, Mrs. Eneh wished the duo of Hon. Uchenna Okolo and Dr. Stanley Ezediuto, God's grace and wisdom in the discharge of their duties when duly elected into office. She expressed her belief that their leadership will usher in a new era of progress and prosperity for the council, and that with God's guidance, they will steer the council towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
