DAY 3: ENUGU DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER, ENEH WELCOMES PDP CAMPAIGN TEAM TO AWGU NORTH, URGES SUPPORT FOR UCHENNA-EZEDIUTO'S CANDIDACY

The Deputy Minority Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, warmly welcomed Awgu People's Democratic Party (PDP) campaign team to her constituency during their visit to Ogbaku and Agbudu/Isuawa/Ituku Ward. The event marked a significant milestone in the chairmanship campaign of Hon. Uchenna Okolo, the PDP candidate for the Awgu Local Government Area chairmanship race, as key stakeholders, gathered to demonstrate their overwhelming support for the party’s candidate.
The deputy minority leader, visibly pleased with the turnout of constituents, commended the people of Awgu North for their enthusiastic reception of the campaign team, highlighting their unwavering loyalty and commitment to the party. She expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome extended to Hon. Uchenna Okolo and his team, noting that the show of support was a clear testament to the unity and resolve of the constituency to ensure progress and development under the leadership of PDP.
“I am deeply moved by the incredible show of support today,” Mrs. Eneh said in her address. “Your warm reception of our chairmanship candidate, Uchenna Okolo, and his deputy, Stanley Ezediuto, speaks volumes about our collective commitment to securing a better future for Awgu. I commend each and every one of you for standing strong with the People's Democratic Party (PDP).”
Speaking further, Mrs Eneh commended Gov. Peter Mbah for selecting candidates for the chairmanship and deputy chairmanship positions that have been widely accepted by the people of Awgu, marking the first time such candidates have been embraced without any form of propaganda or division.
Mrs. Eneh used the opportunity to encourage her constituents to translate their enthusiasm into action by voting overwhelmingly for Hon. Uchenna Okolo and Dr. Stanley Ezediuto, in the upcoming chairmanship election, scheduled for September 21, 2024. She emphasized that Hon. Okolo's candidacy represents a unique opportunity for transformative change in Awgu, as he has laid out a clear vision for infrastructural development, job creation, and enhanced community services.
Hon. Uche Okolo, the chairmanship candidate, in his address, outlined his ambitious plans for accelerated development in Awgu and called for peace and unity among the communities to ensure effective collaboration in governance and future projects.
“We have heard firsthand from Hon. Uchenna Okolo about his plans to develop our communities and create opportunities for our youths,” she remarked. “These are the kinds of changes we need, and I urge all of you to support him and ensure that we deliver an overwhelming victory for PDP on Election Day.”
Mrs. Eneh also acknowledged the contributions of the traditional rulers, community leaders, and party executives who were present at the event, emphasizing the importance of their continued support for the PDP’s candidates in the forthcoming election. She reiterated that the progress and development witnessed in Awgu under the PDP’s leadership could only continue with their collective efforts and dedication.
“Our constituency has made great strides under the leadership of PDP, and I have no doubt that with your continued support, we will see even greater developments under Hon. Uchenna Okolo’s chairmanship,” she added.
“I urge all of us to remain united and focused as we approach Election Day. Together, we can ensure that Awgu continues on the path of growth and progress.”
At campaign tour in Ogbaku and Agbudu/Isuawa/Ituku Wards, Mrs. Eneh left her constituents with a passionate call to action, urging them to show their loyalty to PDP at the ballots by voting for Uchenna Okolo and Stanley Ezediuto on September 21, 2024.
“Your votes are crucial to the future of our communities,” she concluded. “Let us make sure Awgu North leads the way in delivering a decisive victory for PDP. Together, we can build a brighter future for all.”
The PDP campaign team continues its tour across Awgu Local Government Area as the momentum builds towards the much-anticipated September 21st chairmanship election.
