Awgu People’s Democratic Party (PDP) campaign team continued its tour on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, with vibrant rallies at Anikenano/Ugwueme and Obeagu Wards. The campaign was met with a warm reception from serving and former political leaders, key stakeholders, party executives, and faithful who gathered in their numbers to express their support for the party and its chairmanship candidate, Hon. Uche Okolo.





The people of both wards took the opportunity to present their community needs and concerns to Hon. Uche Okolo, highlighting issues such as infrastructural deficits, healthcare services, and educational improvements, among others. They emphasized the importance of having a responsive leadership that would address these pressing challenges and uplift their communities.




In his address, Hon. Uche Okolo expressed his gratitude for the support and promised to prioritize the concerns raised by the communities. He assured them that his administration, once elected, would work diligently to ensure that their needs are addressed. Outlining his developmental plans for Awgu Local Government, Hon. Okolo reiterated his commitment to transforming Awgu through strategic projects focused on Gov. Mbah's antecedents on infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment disruptive economic growth policies, among others.



“I have listened carefully to your concerns, and I want to assure you that my administration will not only address these issues but also work towards improving the overall standard of living across Awgu. Together, we can build a local government that thrives on progress and inclusivity,” Hon. Okolo stated.




The rally held at Awgu South Constituency was graced by Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, deputy minority leader of the 8th Assembly and member representing Awgu North Constituency, who had always lent her support to the campaign team since the campaign tour kicked off.






With just days to go until the September 21st poll, PDP campaign team continues to garner widespread support across Awgu Local Government Area, with Uche Okolo and Stanley Ezediuto’s candidacy promising to bring much-needed development to the region.
