LG POLL: AGBOGUGU HOSTS RESOUNDING GRAND FINALE RALLY FOR PDP CANDIDATES AHEAD OF SEPT. 21ST POLL

The grand finale of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign tour in Awgu Local Government Area reached its peak on Thursday, September 19, 2024, with a grand celebration in Agbogugu, the home ward of the PDP chairmanship candidate, Hon. Uchenna Okolo. The atmosphere was lit as massive crowd welcomed their own with songs of jubilation and unwavering support.



Speaker after speaker took to the stage to reaffirm their confidence in Uche Okolo’s leadership and to pledge their full support at the poll. The show of unity and solidarity at the event was a clear testament to the strong backing Hon. Uche Okolo enjoys in his ward and beyond.

Dr. Stanley Ezediuto, the deputy chairmanship candidate, addressed the crowd, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and partnership in the upcoming administration. He assured the people of Awgu that he and Uche Okolo would work hand in hand to deliver progressive leadership for the local government, focusing on development and inclusivity.


Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, the deputy minority leader of the 8th Assembly and member representing Awgu North Constituency, highlighted the numerous benefits Agbogugu has enjoyed from the PDP-led administration since 1999 till date. She expressed confidence that Agbogugu, having been consistently blessed with developmental projects, will continue to thrive under Uche Okolo’s leadership. Mrs. Eneh also lauded the people of Agbogugu for their impressive turnout and warm reception of the campaign team.

“As we approach Saturday’s poll, I urge you all to vote massively for PDP to continue the legacy of good governance and development that has been synonymous with our party,” Mrs. Eneh stated.

In his closing remarks, Uche Okolo thanked the people of Agbogugu for their overwhelming support and urged all PDP members to remain united for the good of the party and the local government in general. He assured the people of Awgu that, if elected, his administration would follow the exemplary leadership of Governor Peter Mbah, aiming to replicate his developmental successes at the local government level. “Awgu shall be great again,” Hon. Okolo promised.



The grand finale rally marked the end of an extensive campaign tour across Awgu Local Government Area, with the people eagerly anticipating the outcome of the September 21st chairmanship poll.
