The Deputy Minority leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, Member representing Awgu North Constituency, has lauded the people of Mgbowo, Mgbidi/Mmaku for their overwhelming hospitality as they welcomed the campaign team during the kick-off event for the forthcoming Awgu Local Government Chairmanship election. The event, which took place on Tuesday, September 20, marked the official commencement of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) campaign trail in Awgu in support of their candidates.


Speaking, Mrs. Eneh expressed her deep appreciation for the warmth and support demonstrated by the communities of Mgbowo and Mgbidi/Mmaku. She emphasized that the turnout and enthusiasm were clear reflections of the people's desire for progress and development in Awgu.

In her remarks, Mrs. Eneh said, “I am sincerely grateful to the good people of Mgbowo, Mgbidi/Mmaku, for the tremendous welcome you have given to our team. Your passion and commitment to a better Awgu inspire us all, and it is clear that together, we are on the path to achieving a prosperous future.”

Looking ahead to the September 21st chairmanship poll, Mrs. Eneh used the occasion to solicit the unwavering support of the electorates in the ward. She emphasized the need for continuity of the effective leadership of Gov. Mbah-led administration that PDP candidates, Hon. Uchenna Okolo (as chairman) and Dr. Stanley Ezediuto (as deputy  chairman) will bring to the table.

“I urge you to come out en masse and cast your votes for Hon. Uchenna Okolo and Dr. Stanley Ezediuto. These are men of integrity, dedication, and a proven track record of leadership. With your support, they will drive the progress and development that Awgu deserves,” she said.


Mrs. Eneh reassured the people that under the leadership of Uchenna Okolo and Stanley Ezediuto, Awgu will experience transformative growth, job creation, and improved social services. She called on the people and all stakeholders to rally behind these capable candidates for a brighter and more prosperous Awgu.


The September 21st poll is seen as a critical juncture for Awgu local government area and the PDP leader, led by Gov. Mbah has continued to push for a leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the people.

In concluding, Mrs. Eneh reiterated, “We are confident that with your votes, Hon. Uchenna Okolo and Dr. Stanley Ezediuto will steer Awgu local government towards unprecedented success. Let’s unite for a common cause and secure a bright future for all.”

The campaign trail will continue to visit other wards, ensuring that the message of progress and transformation reaches every corner of Awgu LGA.
