In the wake of the successful conclusion of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) State Congress in Enugu State, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected executives of the party. The congress, held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu, was marked by the emergence of new state executives, signifying a strong and unified PDP ready to take on future challenges.

In her message of felicitation, Mrs. Eneh congratulated Dr. Martin Chukwunweike (Ozoigbondu) on his emergence as the new State Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the state. She highlighted that Dr. Chukwunwike’s victory is a testament to his unwavering commitment, immense contributions, and extensive experience within the party and state, which have rightfully earned him this esteemed position. "Your emergence as the State Chairman is a reflection of your dedication and loyalty to our great party. I am confident that under your leadership, our party will continue to thrive and achieve greater heights in Enugu State," she stated.

Mrs. Eneh also lauded the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for his exemplary leadership and commitment to the growth of the party, which, ensured the smooth conduct of the state congress. "Gov. Mbah's exceptional leadership has once again been demonstrated through the successful conduct of the PDP State Congress. His ability to harmonize various interests within the party has been instrumental in maintaining unity and strength in our great party," she remarked.


Furthermore, Mrs. Eneh extended her congratulations to other newly elected state executives, particularly acknowledging members of Enugu West who emerged victorious in other positions. "Your emergence in these key positions is a testament to your dedication, loyalty, and capacity to serve. I am confident that you will all uphold the trust placed in you by our party faithful and work diligently to further the PDP’s vision in Enugu State," she added.


In her concluding remarks, Mrs. Eneh urged constituents and all party members to continue their unwavering support to the party and its leadership in the state. She emphasized the importance of collective effort in driving accelerated development across the state. "Let us remain steadfast in our support for PDP and the people-oriented projects of Gov. Mbah-led administration through PDP. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Enugu State," she concluded.


The PDP State Congress, which brought together notable political figures, serving and past leaders, local government and ward PDP executives, and party members from across the 17 local government areas in the state, marked a significant milestone in the continued growth and unity of PDP in Enugu State.
