The Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and representative of Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh (JP) has commended Governor Peter Mbah for presenting the 2025 Budget of Exponential Growth and Inclusive Prosperity to the Enugu State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. This ambitious budget, aimed at fostering sustainable development and inclusive prosperity, stands as a testament to the governor’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the transformation of the state.

Mrs. Eneh lauded Gov. Mbah’s remarkable progress since assuming office, highlighting his inspiring approach to governance and development. She noted that the governor’s focus on long-term economic growth, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation has not only improved the lives of Enugu’s citizens but also set a new benchmark in governance, leaving an indelible mark both nationally and globally.

“The 2025 budget reflects Mbah’s visionary leadership, characterized by bold and innovative strategies to accelerate growth and bring prosperity to every corner of our state. His legacy in business administration, corporate governance, and public service has created a history that will stand the test of time,” Mrs. Eneh remarked.

She further commended the governor’s emphasis on education, which received over 33% of the budget allocation, underscoring its role as a catalyst for poverty eradication and economic growth. Similarly, the focus on infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and transportation demonstrates a holistic approach to development, ensuring that no sector or community is left behind.

Mrs. Eneh also praised Gov. Mbah-led administration’s impressive achievements in increasing the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) by over 286% within a year. This milestone reflects Gov. Mbah’s commitment to reducing dependency on federal allocations while creating a robust, self-sustaining economy.

As the Enugu State House of Assembly begins its deliberations on the budget, Mrs. Eneh assured the governor of the House’s unwavering support in ensuring the timely passage of the fiscal plan. She expressed optimism that the 2025 budget would build on the successes of the previous year, further positioning Enugu State as a beacon of innovation and inclusive development in Nigeria.


Concluding, Mrs. Eneh extends warm wishes to Gov. Mbah, praying for continued grace, wisdom, and success in the execution of his visionary projects. “We are proud to stand with you, Governor Peter Mbah, as you lead our state into a future of exponential growth and inclusive prosperity,” she stated.
