The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Awgu Local Government Area convened its first local government meeting of 2025 on Saturday, March 8, at Awgu Local Government Secretariat. The meeting served as a platform for party leaders to express their profound appreciation to members of the party for their steadfast commitment and to reaffirm the party’s dedication to grassroots' unity and development.

During the meeting, the newly inaugurated PDP executives in the local government, led by Hon. Kenechukwu Okolo, formally extended gratitude to party faithful across Awgu for their unwavering support and commitment to the party. Hon. Okolo emphasized the critical role grassroots' engagement plays in sustaining the party’s strength and encouraged members to remain steadfast in their commitment to the party’s vision.

In an exclusive interview with JANE-CARESTV, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh commended her constituents for their dedication to the party’s growth at the state, local government, and ward levels. She acknowledged the resilience of party members and their continued efforts in fostering unity, which, she noted, has been instrumental in strengthening the party’s presence in Awgu.

A key highlight of the meeting was the recognition of the progressive governance being championed by the leader of the party and governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. Attendees lauded the administration’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends, a factor that has further solidified the party’s reputation across the state.

The gathering reinforced the party’s resolve to deepen grassroots development while fostering a political environment built on inclusivity, service, and accountability. Party members left the meeting with a deep sense of commitment, determined to uphold the values that continue to define the party’s legacy in Awgu and beyond.
