IWD 2025: ENUGU DEPUTY LEADER, ENEH HONOURED BY ICAN FOR OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP

The Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN), Enugu Chapter ICAN, has honoured Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane C. Eneh with a prestigious Award of Recognition in celebration of International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Destiny Event Centre, Behind Bush Bar, Nza Street, Independence Layout, Enugu. The award acknowledges her unwavering support for ICAN, SWAN initiatives, and her remarkable contributions to leadership, governance, and financial empowerment.
The event, themed - “Women and Wealth Creation: Strategies for Financial Independence,” brought together notable dignitaries, including representative of Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Ihuoma Mbah, First Lady of Enugu State, alongside distinguished female professionals and policymakers. Due to her engagement in critical state functions, Mrs. Eneh was unavoidably absent, and the award was received on her behalf by her secretary, Mrs. Gladys Chukwu.
SWAN commended Mrs. Eneh’s leadership, highlighting her dedication to advancing women’s participation in economic and political spheres. The award was: “In recognition of her outstanding contributions to leadership, governance, and the advancement of SWAN and ICAN’s activities in Enugu State. Her support continues to inspire and uplift generations of women breaking barriers.”
In a message conveyed through her representative, Mrs. Eneh expressed gratitude, emphasizing that women’s financial independence is essential for sustainable progress. “This recognition is a testament to the strength and resilience of women breaking barriers. Mrs Eneh remains committed to championing policies that empower women to lead, thrive, and create lasting impact,” Mrs Chukwu stated.
As International Women’s Day 2025 continues to inspire change, this honour reinforces the vital role of women in governance and economic empowerment, setting the stage for greater inclusion and leadership.
