AWGU BEAMS WITH JOY: ENUGU DEPUTY LEADER, ENEH CELEBRATES COUNCIL BOSS UCHE OKOLO OVER NATIONAL AWARD HONOUR

Awgu beams with joy as Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, Executive Chairman of Awgu LGA, is honoured with the prestigious Rootswatch Distinguished Local Government Chairmen Merit Award 2025 in Abuja on May 14, 2025.

The award, presented by Rootswatch Magazine, celebrates Hon. Uche Okolo’s remarkable strides in grassroots transformation—particularly his impactful efforts in youth and women empowerment, road infrastructure, and rural integration projects that continue to uplift communities across Awgu.

Joining the chorus of commendations, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the council boss, commending his hallmark of achievements and services to the people within his short period of stay in office.

“Hon. Uche Okolo — One-Day, One-Project — exemplifies integrity, humility, and people-focused leadership. This national recognition is indeed well-deserved and speaks volumes of his selfless dedication to the progress of Ndi Awgu,” Mrs Eneh stated.
