On Friday, May 9th, 2025, Michael Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu, witnessed another uplifting edition of the Enugu Women Monthly Prayer Network—a gathering of intercessors, mothers, and faith-driven women unified in prayer for families, communities, and state. The Deputy Leader of the State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, graced the gathering with faith and humility, joining hands in fellowship with the multitude in attendance.
The Enugu Women Monthly Prayer Network, observed every 9th day of the month, has grown into a formidable spiritual platform where women gather to pray for peace and prosperity in the state. Mrs. Eneh’s active participation in the monthly prayer network is seen as a reflection of servant-leadership in its purest form. Her commitment to the fellowship speaks volumes and resonates with many who see her as both a leader and a woman of faith.
Several attendees have expressed deep appreciation for her commitment to the spiritual and social well-being of the people. “Mrs. Eneh's presence among us is not political—it’s spiritual,” one elderly woman remarked. “It gives us comfort knowing our leaders walk and pray with us.” The monthly edition concluded with powerful intercessions for the state, its leaders, and families, reaffirming the sacredness of the monthly encounter.
Also present were leading figures such as Enugu First Lady, Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah; Mrs. Chinyere Ugwu, wife of the Speaker; Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Enih, Commissioner for children, gender affairs and social development; Pastor Uzoigwe, who led the opening prayer; Pastor Chioma Nnamani, who spoke on "Parenting"; Pastor Stephen Louis, who led state-focused payer & intercessions; Dame Rita Mbah, Chairman of the Enugu State Tourism Board; Mrs. Rita Edeh, ALGON Chairperson; various LGA Chairpersons; and Rev. Edwin Njoku, who led the closing prayer. Next month, the June edition, promises yet another moment of divine blessings for women across the state.
