On Saturday, August 9, 2025, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh, Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and esteemed representative of Awgu North Constituency, was honoured with a prestigious award during the Enugu State “August Meeting Flag-off 2025.”

The grand event, held at Michael Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu, also featured the Enugu State Monthly Prayer Network — a spiritual prayer gathering dedicated to the progress of the state, spearheaded by the First Lady of Enugu State, Mrs Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah.




The award celebrated Mrs Eneh’s exceptional commitment to state development, women empowerment, and grassroots representation. Bestowed by the First Lady herself, this honour reflects the deep respect Mrs Eneh has earned for her unwavering dedication to the people of Awgu North and Enugu State at large.





The August Meeting, an annual gathering of women across Enugu State, serves as a platform to celebrate achievements, inspire leadership, and promote unity. Mrs Eneh’s recognition at such a high-profile occasion underscores both her personal dedication and the far-reaching impact of her work in transforming lives.

During the presentation, Pastor Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi, Coordinator of the Enugu Women Prayer Network, commended Mrs Eneh for her outstanding contributions and exemplary leadership, which have positively shaped the growth of Awgu North Constituency and Enugu State as a whole. She took time to highlight some of Mrs Eneh’s milestone achievements within and outside her constituency over the years, wishing her continued grace and success in her political career.

The award sparked jubilations among the women in attendance, many of whom pledged their unwavering support for Mrs Eneh in her ongoing drive for progressive change across the state.
