As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) kicks off the 2025–2026 Nationwide Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, has called on constituents to seize this available window period to secure their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).
The exercise, which runs from August 18, 2025 to August 20, 2026, gives Nigerians the opportunity to strengthen their civic voice and prepare ahead of upcoming elections.
In a passionate message to constituents, Mrs. Eneh emphasized that voter registration is the foundation of participatory democracy.
“Your vote starts with registration. This Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) is not just a routine exercise—it is the key to ensuring your voice is heard in shaping the future of our constituency, Enugu State, and Nigeria at large. I encourage everyone to get involved, take part, and also remind your loved ones. Together, let’s ensure no eligible voter is left behind.”
What You Can Do In this Ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise
Mrs. Eneh highlighted the different opportunities available during the exercise, urging constituents to take advantage of them early:
• Register for a New Voter’s Card – For constituents who have reached voting age or those registering for the first time.
• Renew or Update Your Information – For individuals who have changed names, addresses, or personal details.
• Transfer or Collect PVCs – For those who have relocated or have yet to collect their previously registered PVC.
• Replace Lost or Damaged PVCs – For voters whose cards have been misplaced, stolen, or destroyed.
Registration Options
Eligible voters can register in two ways:
• Online Registration – Via INEC portal:
https://cvr.inecnigeria.org
...from August 18, 2025.
• In-Person Registration – At all INEC Local Government Area offices and designated centres nationwide, beginning from August 25, 2025, Mondays to Fridays, 9:00am - 3:00pm daily.
Call to Action
Mrs. Eneh encourages constituents not to wait until the last minute but to make use of the early months of the CVR exercise.
“Let us act now. Encourage your loved ones to register, update, or collect their PVCs. A strong democracy depends on active citizens, and Awgu North must continue to lead by example in civic participation.”
The 2025–2026 Continuous Voters Registration is not just a bureaucratic process—it is a civic duty and an opportunity for every eligible Nigerian to shape the direction of governance. As Mrs. Eneh reminds her people, the first step to choosing leaders and holding them accountable, begins with securing the PVC.
So, get involved! Get registered!! Get your PVC!!!
