The Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh has extended her most heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo on his one year in office as the Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Council. In her message, she lauds Hon. Uche Okolo’s hands-on and people-oriented approach, that has been turning promises into visible progress across the council since he assumed office.

Within this twelve months anniversary, Hon. Okolo has made efforts in initiating major infrastructural projects, including the construction of the Agbogugu Smart School road (about 4km) with proper drainage and culverts, linking key educational, health, and farming institutions. He has also overseen the “Water for All” project, installing solar-powered boreholes to bring clean water closer to the people in rural communities, and rolled out over 600 solar street lights to enhance safety and night-time visibility.

“As one from Awgu North, I am deeply impressed by Hon. Uche Okolo’s resolve and results on the journey so far. His leadership shows that true change happens when we place the welfare of our people at the centre of every decision,” Mrs. Eneh remarked.

She urges the people of Awgu North in particular and Ndi Awgu in general to continue supporting Hon. Uche Okolo’s administration. She encouraged Awgu Mayor to continue engaging with community priorities, ensuring transparency, and executing projects that are reshaping all communities in the local government, among others.

Truly, under Uche Okolo's stewardship, Awgu is rising not just in development but in hope.

Congratulations once more on your 1-year anniversary — One-Day, One-Project Mayor!
