As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, October 1st, 2025, it carries a double significance—ushering in a new month filled with promise and celebrating over six decades of nationhood. The Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member Representing Awgu North Constituency in the Hallowed Chamber, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh has extended heartfelt wishes to her constituents and Nigerians at large, blending the joy of a new month with the patriotic spirit of independence.
In her message, Mrs Eneh congratulated the people of Awgu North and the entire nation on witnessing another October 1st, a day symbolic of freedom, resilience, and shared destiny. She urged her constituents to embrace the Federal Government’s official theme for this year’s celebration, “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation,” as a guiding principle for collective growth.
“Happy new month, and happy 65th Independence anniversary to my dear constituents and fellow Nigerians,” she declared. “This October is a reminder that with unity, faith, and dedication, we can build the Nigeria of our dreams. As we celebrate our independence, let us also renew our commitment to peace, progress, and service to one another. Truly, it requires all hands on deck for a greater nation.”
Reflecting on Nigeria’s journey, she emphasized that the struggles and triumphs of the past 65 years are proof of the nation’s resilience. From independence in 1960 to today’s evolving democracy, Mrs Eneh noted that progress has only ever been possible when Nigerians stood together above division. She urged constituents to embody this spirit of unity in community development, civic responsibility, and everyday interactions.
She also encouraged the good people of Awgu North to begin the new month with hope and positivity, describing October as “a season to look forward with faith, strengthen our values, and contribute to the common good of our society.”
With her wishes, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh prayed for God’s blessings upon Awgu North, Enugu State, and Nigeria at large, expressing optimism that October would be a month of breakthroughs, peace, and shared victories.
As Nigerians wave their green and white flags in pride, her message is clear: Independence is not just a date in history—it is a daily responsibility to work together, keep hope alive, and ensure the promise of a greater Nigeria becomes a reality.
Happy New Month and 65th Independence Day!
