ENUGU DEPUTY LEADER, ENEH COMMENDS FIRST LADY, MRS MBAH, ON QUINTUPLETS’ HOME COMMISSIONING, CHIEFTAINCY HONOUR

In a heartfelt show of admiration and solidarity, the Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, has commended the wife of the Governor of Enugu State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah, for her outstanding compassion, leadership, and commitment to humanity — reflected once again through her recent benevolent gesture to the Odo family of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area.

The commendation came on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, during a historic event that marked the official commissioning of a newly constructed and fully furnished home Mrs Mbah built for the Odo family, whose wife, Mrs. Chisom Odo recently gave birth to quintuplets. The ceremony, which took place at Amachara Ovoko, Igbo-Eze South LGA, also witnessed the conferment of a traditional chieftaincy title — “Ife Ka Ugo” (meaning “A Light Greater Than the Eagle”) — on the Enugu First Lady by the Enugu North Zonal Traditional Rulers Council.

Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, who attended the event alongside the First Lady and other dignitaries, described Mrs. Mbah’s gesture, as a true reflection of motherly compassion and service-driven leadership. She lauded the First Lady for embodying the humane vision of the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, through initiatives that directly touch the lives of women, children, and the vulnerable.

According to Mrs. Eneh, “Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, continues to set a remarkable example of what it means to lead with empathy, purpose, and vision." The newly constructed residence for the Odo quintuplets family stands not just as a physical structure, but as a symbol of hope, kindness, and the power of shared humanity. Her chieftaincy title, "Ife Ka Ugo," is a well-deserved recognition of her tireless efforts to uplift lives and preserve our cultural values.”

The event drew an impressive gathering of traditional rulers, state officials, and prominent personalities from across Enugu State, including the Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze South LGA, Barr. Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze; the Chairman of Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, HRH Igwe Samuel Asadu; and several members of the Enugu political and traditional elite.

Mrs. Eneh further noted that the honour bestowed on the First Lady serves as an inspiration to women across Enugu and beyond, reinforcing the message that leadership anchored on compassion and impact will always attract respect and recognition. She reaffirmed her continued support for initiatives that prioritize human welfare and uphold the values of unity, progress, and service in the state.

Mrs Eneh concluded her remarks by extending warm congratulations to Her Excellency on both milestones — the successful commissioning of the home and the prestigious traditional honour — describing them as “twin testaments to a life of grace, purpose, and divine favour.”

With gestures like these, the Enugu First Lady continues to exemplify a legacy of love in action — one that strengthens communities, uplifts families, and redefines leadership as a lifelong commitment to humanity.
