GOVERNOR MBAH’S NEC APPOINTMENT A TESTAMENT TO VISIONARY LEADERSHIP, ALIGNING WITH THE CENTRE — SAYS ENUGU DEPUTY LEADER, ENEH

The Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, has congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on his appointment by the National Economic Council (NEC), to lead, the comprehensive overhaul of training institutions for security agencies across Nigeria. The appointment, announced on Thursday, October 23 at the end of 152nd NEC meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, attended by the President and Chaired by the Vice-President, Senator Kashim Shettima, positions Governor Mbah at the centre of a strategic national effort to reform the capacity-building architecture for security operatives, ensuring stronger professionalism, efficiency, and responsiveness in safeguarding the nation.

Speaking on the development, Mrs Eneh described the appointment as “a clear recognition of Governor Mbah’s visionary leadership, outstanding administrative capability, and his results-driven governance style which has already transformed the developmental direction of Enugu State.” She noted that Governor Mbah’s commitment to innovation, human capital enhancement, infrastructure modernization, and technology-driven governance has earned him national attention and respect among federal stakeholders.

She emphasized that the new national responsibility aligns seamlessly with the governor’s long-term development blueprint, which prioritizes institutional competence and sustainable security as foundations for economic expansion and social progress. “Governor Mbah has demonstrated that leadership is not about occupying office but delivering measurable results and impact. This national assignment reaffirms the confidence Nigeria now places in Enugu’s governance example,” Mrs. Eneh stated.

Enugu deputy leader further highlighted that the appointment is a positive outcome of Enugu State’s strategic alignment with the Federal Government, noting that collaboration rather than isolation is necessary for unlocking federal support, national visibility, and increased developmental benefits for the state. She urged the people of Enugu to continue supporting and standing behind Governor Mbah, stressing that unity of purpose is essential to accelerate ongoing projects in the state, and also drive future advancements.

“What we are witnessing today is evidence that constructive partnership with the centre yields results. I call on Ndi Enugu, at home and in the diaspora, to continue supporting Mbah-led administration so we can maintain the momentum of progress already underway across the state,” she charged.

With Governor Mbah now assuming a critical role in shaping the future of national security training and institutional standards, Mrs Eneh reaffirmed her confidence that Mbah's vision and competence will deliver reforms that will strengthen both the state and the nation at large.
