APC AWGU LG/WARD INAUGURATION: ENUGU DEPUTY LEADER, ENEH, HAILS NEW CARETAKER COMMITTEE, URGES DEEPER GRASSROOTS MOBILIZATION

The Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane C. Eneh, has congratulated the newly inaugurated All Progressives Congress (APC) Awgu Local Government and Wards Caretaker Committee, following their official inauguration held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Sullivan Chime Hall, Awgu LGA Secretariat. She called on party members to remain steadfast, united, and committed to strengthening the party at the grassroots.

The inauguration—attended by the state party caretaker committee, and stakeholders—signals a renewed organising force within the party as Awgu LGA reaffirmed its loyalty to the administration of Gov. Mbah. In her remarks, Mrs. Eneh lauds the Governor’s transformative leadership across the state, noting that Awgu’s growing political relevance is tied to the inclusive governance model of the current administration.


Mrs. Eneh encouraged the newly inaugurated executives to carry the party’s message across all wards with renewed dedication. She appealed for deliberate inclusion of women and key community groups in the party’s activities, describing them as “the true engines of political mobilization.” She expressed confidence that the new structure would consolidate unity, deepen engagement, and energize APC faithful across Awgu.



The event featured goodwill messages from several dignitaries, including the Executive Chairman of Awgu LGA, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, who reaffirmed his unwavering support for Governor Mbah and described the day as a defining moment for Awgu’s political advancement.

Dr. Chidozie Nwafor (CNN) and Hon. SKE Udeokoye also lauded the people of Awgu for their steadfast commitment, urging them to intensify outreach across all wards.


Administering the oath of office, the Acting Secretary of the party in the state, Rt. Hon. Eugene Odo charged the new executives to uphold the party’s constitution, prioritize member welfare, and remain exemplary in leadership.

The Acting State Chairman of the party, Hon. Ben Nwoye emphasized on the strategic importance of Awgu to the party’s growth, noting the unity displayed by its stakeholders and representatives at the event proves it all.

The newly inaugurated Chairman of APC Awgu LGA, Hon. Kenechukwu Okolo expressed gratitude to all dignitaries present and assured that the new executives are committed to building a more vibrant and people-oriented party structure.

Mrs. Eneh reaffirmed her belief that with dedication, cooperation, and strategic grassroots mobilization, the caretaker committee will strengthen the party's presence in Awgu and advance the party’s renewed hope vision across every community.
