The Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane C. Eneh, has commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for presenting what she described as “a visionary, growth-driven, and economically strategic” 2026 budget proposal to the State House of Assembly.

Governor Mbah, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, unveiled a historic N1.62 trillion Appropriation Bill—tagged Budget of Renewed Momentum—projecting an unprecedented 80% capital expenditure focused on infrastructure, agriculture, education, technology, security, and new economic opportunities. Reacting to the development, Mrs. Eneh said the budget clearly demonstrates the governor’s unwavering commitment to transformative governance and sustainable development across the state.

Speaking after the budget presentation, Mrs. Eneh noted that the proposal reflects careful planning, intentional leadership, and a firm resolve to reposition Enugu as an emerging economic hub. “His Excellency has once again shown that development is not a slogan but a measurable agenda. This budget provides the roadmap for job creation, economic expansion, agricultural growth, modern infrastructure, and improved social services for our people,” she stated.

She described the heavy allocations to the Economic and Social Sectors—particularly education, security, transportation, housing, and agriculture—as bold steps that will directly impact the welfare of citizens from rural communities to urban city. Mrs. Eneh also expressed confidence in the Assembly’s readiness to work collaboratively with the governor to ensure seamless passage and effective implementation of the Appropriation Bill.

“As representatives of the people, we are committed to supporting policies that advance development and improve lives. The 2026 budget is a clear testament to the governor’s dedication to a prosperous, secure, and productive Enugu State,” she added.

Mrs Eneh reaffirmed her support for the administration’s vision and urged constituents to remain hopeful as the state moves into a new phase of accelerated progress.
